Kay. I asked Kenz if i could do an update from my character's POV, so, here it is! Enjoy mah darlings . -------------------------------------Linda's POV Walking into my Aunt's house, I felt overwhelmed by sadness. I miss my parents. I miss my brother. Oh, and the fact that Tyler is still going out with Brontę doesn't exactly help any. Not trying to be rude or anything, I mean, I'm happy that they're happy together. But I can't stop myself from liking him. And my hopes went sky high when he asked me if I was going to Prom. And as per usual, they came crashing down when I realized that what McKenna said was right. I walked straight up to my room, plopped down on the bed and hugged my pillow pet. I slowly rolled over to look at the time. My gaze drifted to the calendar. When I saw the date, I literally fell off the bed. The prom was in 2 days! Shiz, shiz, shiz, shiz!! Not only do I have no-one to go with, I also have no idea what I was gunna wear! Waaaaaait. . My brain quickly pieced something together that I KNEW would look amazing. Not exactly what you'd typically wear to a prom, but, who really gives a damn? Most certainly not me. I laid back on my bed, smiling for the first time in what seemed like forever. Everything was gunna be just fine.
<~> McKenna's POV <~> It was perfect. Just perfect. I swear that Josh had it tuned to just the right note. I was ready five minutes after Mum came in, I said a hurried 'Love You Mum', and we were out the door. Josh took me to an authentic Italian pasta place, named ‘Pasta lâ Plenty’ and ordered us a large spaghetti bolognese WITH extra-large meatballs. “Here, have some spaghetti McKenna.” He told me. Josh gave me one end of a strand of the pasta with a meatball on it. Hesitatingly I started to chew. But then I couldn't stop. “Mmm… it's delis-” I broke off. His face, it looked a little to close to mine for comfort. I backed away. So did his. "Oh McKenna," he moaned, "If you want a serious relationship with me sooner or later we shall have to have that first kiss!" I saw he was getting paranoid but he still loved me. "Soon, I swear Josh! Maybe in two days time, you know, at the prom!" I had thought he'd forgotten all about it. "Well, let's finish dinner and I'll drop you home." So, we finished the spaghetti and went for a little stroll. "I love you dearly Pie, please don't forget that. I'm just unsure what would happen. Seeing your my first." Pie smiled at me. "Sweetie, I'm just expressing my concern about you. Anyway, what are you wearing to prom?" All I could do was gape at him. "Why do you ask of clothes when an invite hasn't been voiced?!" He ruffled my heaped hair. "Will you come with me to Prom? Sweet McKenna." "Yes, yes, yes, yes, YES! I've been dying over dinner!" I let Josh pull me into his arms as we walked to his car. When we pulled up at Mum and Dads place he wished me sweet dreams. And now here I am. Sorting my dresses, shoes and accessories in just short notice. It's not exactly what I'd probably wear to prom, but who gives a damn? Next Day ~ Friday McKenna's POV …DJ turn it up! Its about damn time to live it… BANG! Her hand shot out and pressed pause on her iPod with her alarm. I rolled over to face my clock. 5:59 already?! "Argh, I'm so tiredddd."
