  1. Andi I think it was directed at multistriker Way up at the top.

  2. Oh and a little to the left Damn new page.

  3. Reagan and the Republicans didn't spend the first 4 years of his presidency blaming Carter...

Why has has Obama and the Democrats spent the first four years of his presidency blaming Bush?

  4. Arn't they still trying to fix the mess? .-.

I do not think Republicans will help get anything done. They'll drive this country into a worse state of economy ._.

  5. And there you go doing it again.

The problem with him is that he went into the problem with the attitude of "this isn't my fault and now I have to fix someone else's mess"
He should have the attitude of "this is my problem now. How do I fix it?"

  6. You can't really fix anything when you are cannot pass anything with a Republican House of Representatives that will not pass anything you put their way .-. duuh

  7. But no. The only things successful that Obama has put through was the healthcare bill.... Which we can afford (how does that affect the economy?)

And this last immigration thing (which is not right and he totally bypassed congress, which is what dictators do)

  8. And funny enough this is what the founders wanted ._. parties to be in stale mate with each other.

  9. Because what Obama is wanting to pass it totally against the morals and beliefs of some republicans.

Now you know how Bush and the Republicans felt the second half of his presidency.

  10. He put healthcare through before the Republican House of Representatives were elected in, then they started to deny most of what he proposed.

And besides, is it really up to the President to get everything done?

    Nope

It is all Congress's fault, the President does not have control of what bills go through Congress, he can only make suggestions and proposals. So if anything, it is the House of Representatives to blame.

The President does not have the legal power to do anything expect
    1) commands armed forces DURING war time
    2) approve and veto bills
    3) Executive Orders and Executive Decisions (which is legal / contritutional, if it were illegal SCOTUS would have denied him on it) ... which is what he has done with the immigrant law that he did not just make up.
DREAM Act basically says if you were brought into the USA as a child, and you have good behavior, clean record, and have been living as a USA citizen for (x amount) years. You can apply for college or go serve in the military, and later receive citizenship.

Damn I went off topic ._. but anyways... its not his fault, it is the House of Representatives's fault, where the Republicans so happen to control.

  11. Again, I'll point out that now you know how bush felt the second half of his presidency.

But you don't understand, he is also giving those illegal immigrants the right to work. Which is going cut down on jobs for the American citizens and the people who went through the process the right way.
It is a very simple process to get permanent residency, but they feel the need to bypass it (and yes I know it is easy because I am going through it now with my wife)

And you still don't understand. What the president is asking the Republicans to put through most the time are against their policy.

And the democrats put a healthcare bill through that we cannot afford and hurt the economy even more.

  12. Yeah let's not forget this is Andi's thread. Congratulate her

  13. Lol congratulations Andi!

And if you want to talk any more about the topic pm me.

  14. I guess we shall not agree on this  this debate comes from two biases that will not agree... so lets agree that we disagree and not spoil this thread anymore.
Clearly neither of us will come across to the same thing on these issues

I don't blame Bush for everything, I simply look at history... The Great Depression as a classic example, I think there was a Repression in 80's, and now another economic stuggle in our time. I look at what they all have in common,

  15. That's not dropping it.
And yes I have an answer to that. If you want to know pm me.

  16. Dude, everybody blames bush because everything was bush. 
