  1. From the uk government website http://www.gov.uk

    EU countries
    The EU countries are:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK.

    The European Economic Area (EEA)
The EEA includes EU countries and also Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. It allows them to be part of the EU’s single market.

Switzerland is neither an EU nor EEA member but is part of the single market - this means Swiss nationals have the same rights to live and work in the UK as other EEA nationals.

Time for you to eat humble pie OM-G_ITs_Leathal_Dave enjoy Lol

  2. I NEVER DENIED THAT SWITZERLAND WAS NOT IN THE EUROPEAN UNION!!!!!!!! I SAID SWEDEN WAS IN THE EUROPEAN UNION! You said Sweden was not in the European Union. Since you obviously do not care to read please leave this Thread.

  3. Why do people think the Brexit was just about economy ? It's about taking back control of your own country and not letting people who don't even live in your country dictate your laws and regulations.
So our currency takes a hit now but we will be aloud to agree our own trade deals that we want.

  4. Erm aren't laws and regulations linked in with the economy, ie tax laws, import/export tariff regulations, to just name a couple, don't these things have a direct link to the economy?
Besides if you read this thread properly you'll see it's not just about the economy

  5. Nicola sturgeon has already said she wants a referendum for Scotland to leave the uk, is northern Ireland next? Lots of them appear to be rushing for Irish passports. Looks like Great Britain might end up being just England and Wales.

  6. Point is and you well know we can't adjust the laws without Eu acceptance . So our economy will be adjusted when we have the legal right to implement .
Embrace change don't be scared of it. Any economy thrives when you have ups and downs. Though Brexit was mostly on getting our control back not being associated to a failing institution.

  7. Care to tell me EXACTLY which laws and how many laws we can't adjust without eu say so?

  8. And what exactly does "taking control back" mean. Everyone keeps saying it but as yet no one has defined what it means lol

  9. Care to tell me why it took so long in stopping Eu workers claiming child benefits? Then sending UK state benefits outside our country?
Only recently EU gave UK green light to put a minimum occupancy period before claiming this .

  10. You know very well what "take control means". No longer can the government hide behind EU and we now are accountable for our decision making .

  11. @The_Most_Terrifying_MR_Tickle

Do you think the European Union has done anything positive for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland?

  12. Can't wait to go to the shops and see that eggs cost £78.

  13. That is, most likely, hyperbole.

  14. There was positives for sure but the negative out weights the positives. U.K. Joined Eu over 45 years ago when was only 8 countries involved.

Mainly for trade agreements but grew into a European super state. Also we pay from tax payers money £8b a year to be a member of EU.

  15. @The_Most_Terrifying_MR_Tickle

I noticed you failed to answer my questions. But let me answer your question. Did you know that British citizens also claim benefits in other EU countries AND the amount claimed by these British citizens from other EU countries far exceeds that which is claimed by other EU citizens in Britain???

  16. We pay 18b not 8b out of which 9b is given back to Britain in terms of grants subsidies etc etc

  17. And if you arguememt for leaving is it will stop the free flowing of people around Europe did you know this....

The majority of the UK's 650 MPs are in favour of Britain staying in the EU and while they will have to respect the will of the British people, they will not be silent bystanders.
There are already moves among the 450 or so MPs who want to stay in the EU, across the Labour, Conservative, SNP, Plaid Cymru and Green parties, to keep the UK in the single market in any exit negotiations.
This would mean Britain would have to keep its borders open to EU workers and continue paying into EU coffers.
They say it would be legitimate for MPs to do this because the Leave campaign has refused to spell out what trading relationship it wants the UK to have with the EU in the future - and it would demonstrate the sovereignty of Parliament the Leavers were so keen to restore

  18. Well the Brexit vote can get over turned politically anyway . Though just like your earlier comment that would be political suicide for the said party.

  19. Anyway debate over its time to get on with Independence Day and have a beer to celebrate.?Elbows up 
