(Kaitlin) Jake threw his bike in the back of Kaitlin's car. Kaitlin got in the passenger seat and Jake started to pull out of the parking spot. Kaitlin had that same look on her face that she had during her Mom's funeral, and her dads wedding, 2 years before. No one ever knew what to do when Kaitlin got like this, a cold hard emotionless face that no one could get through too. She hated to cry in front of other people, in fact she refused to. Kaitlin hadn't cried in front of anyone for the 8 years that her mother had been dead. Jake had been the first to see a tear from her since she was ten. "Emily called," Jake said quietly, "she is worried." No change in face at all to the news that she got about her stepmother. "Jake, can you take me home?" she said, her voice shaking, "tell Jamie that I'll see her later. "Ok Kaitlin, are you sure you're okay?" Jake asked for the fifth time. "I'm fine." she said sharply. Jake and Kaitlin sat I. Silence until they pulled up to her house. "Kaitlin, if you ever need me.." Jake started. "I know." Kaitlin kissed Jake on his cheek and opened the car door. "see you when I see you." As Jake pedaled away on his bike, the tears started again, but this time she couldn't stop them. It seemed like they would flow forever. _______________ I feel the need to clarify this, Jake and Jamie are Kaitlin's best friends. Jamie hasn't appeared yet. So hold your sea lions.
Earlier that day... (Jake) It was around 8:30 at night, and Jake was deep in thought, much like most of his friends, but for different reasons entirely. Jakes phone started to ring, and he picked it up to hear the voice of Kaitlin's mother. "Jake, have you heard from Kaitlin? She said she would text or call me when she was about to head home from her sunset date, but I haven't heard anything yet." she asked, very worried. Jake gritted his teeth, "Why don't you ask Alec?" he said in a stained voice. "I have. He won't answer."she said. "please go check on her, she trusts you." *five minutes later* Jake was on his bike heading quickly to Northshore park. His car had broken down a week ago, so his means of transportation were less than ideal. He dropped his bike in the parking lot and started looking around for Kaitlin. Jake noticed that Alec's car wasn't parked here, just Kaitlin's. Jake saw Kaitlin's back as she sat alone on the bench, he slowly approached her and she seemed to be dazed. What did that douche do this time? He asked to himself. Kaitlin turned her messy head of light blonde hair around with a smile on her face. Then she gasped, "Jake?!" Jake watched as emotions showed over her face, and a tear fell from her eyes. Kaitlin never cried, and Jake was worried. "Come on," he said gently, "I'll take you home." he pulled Kaitlin into a warm hug, took her hand and lead her to her car.

(Jake) Jake glanced at Kaitlin as he carefully drove her car to her house, the tears were gone, and she looked broken. Again. This is just like the last time Alec hurt her, he thought to himself. Why does she choose guys like him? Everytime. Jake could see that Kaitlin was confused and heart broken but he had no idea what to do about it, Kaitlin couldn't listen when she broke down like this. -_-_-_-_-_- After dropping Kaitlin and her car off at home, Jake pedaled down the street to his own home to get his car. This time will be the last time he hurts her- thought Alec resentfully. Ill tell him to leave her alone forever. Alec drove slowly to Ryan's house to find Alec. He had heard about the party, and immediately thought that Alec would be there. Alec tended to be near Ryan when he let Kaitlin down.
