When I woke up, I was in a hospital bed. The room was all white, except for the get well soon cards and flowers on my bedside table. I heard a voice outside the door. "Sir, you should wait until she's awake"- "I have to see her now." The door quickly opened, and Matthew quietly poked his head inside of the room. Once he saw I was in fact, awake, he smiled and closed the door behind him. "Rose… are you alright?" I looked down at myself, to see that my upper torso was wrapped in bandages, as well as my head. I didn't feel any pain as I did before. Whatever drugs the doctor gave me were GREAT. "Just peachy." I said. Matthe took a few steps and sat on the edge of the bed. I looked up at him. "Where's my mother?" "Unlike me, she follows the rules." "What?" "I sort of snuck past a few doctors to get here…" he mumbled. I laughed. "I'm sure they won't mind, since I'm awake." "So are you tired?" "No... should I be?" "Well yeah, considering that you've been asleep for three days." "What?!" Three. Days. I missed three days! What could've happened in those short days of my life? For all I knew, I could temporarily be in the hospital before I get sent to jail. I peered around Matthew's head. There wasn't a tv mounted to the wall. And the woman in her curtained off section of the room was watching "The Young and The Restless" on the television there. "Um, excuse me miss, but could you change the channel to the news? Only for a minute"- "Nope. Lily's boyfriend cheated on her with her twin sister Delilah, but he doesn't know they switched places!" the woman rambled. "...anyways, Matthew what happened in the past three days?" "They found Anna Goodwin's body after we left. She died on impact. A broken vertebrae to be exact." "That's horrible… it's my fault." It was funny how I was telling the truth. "Don't say that, Rose. You're lucky to be alive! It was a miracle you only broke some ribs and got a minor concussion. You could've died like Anna did." Matthew tenderly wrapped his arms around me, avoiding the iv needles in my arms. I tried to ignore how the loud heart monitor instantly sped up, but I could almost hear Matthew smirk. I blushed. Leaning foward, I brought my lips towards Matthew's. He looked surprised, and leaned back the tiniest bit. "What are you doing Rose"- Matthew stuttered. "Kissing you." I interrupted. "But I thought you didn't like me." "You thought wrong." I murmured. Right when I kissed him, I heard an exaggerated cough come from the doorway. We immediately broke away from each other, to see my mother in the room, with a nurse beside her. My mother didn't hide her emotions, and gave Matthew and I the death glare. The nurse raised an eyebrow before checking the clipboard she held. "Um, hi mom." "Yeah. Hi." Mom sat even closer to me than Matthew was, causing him to flush a bright red and stand up to give my mother more room. The nurse came over and gently took the needles out from my arms, and stuck pink bandaids where they had been. "When can she leave the hospital, nurse?" "Now, actually. Isn't it obvious? I'm removing her from the equipment." the nurse dryly said. My mother shot her a look that kept her silent. Then she used the same look at me, but with a smile. "I just didn't want any… erm, late night visits for Rose." Fighting the urge to point out my mother's "hidden" message, I looked at the clock on the wall. It was ten o'clock at night. Hm. It didn't feel like nighttime. Mom took my hand and helped me out of bed. She handed me a bundle of clothes to change into. I awkwardly left to use the bathroom to change, and when I came back, my mother was gone. Matthew stood there, smirking. "You take forever to change. You mom's looking for you." "Perfect." I sighed. "Like you?" Matthew murmured with a smile. I looked down. "I'm far from perfect."
Sorry for taking so long to update! I've been sick, but I have some good news! I need a character, that will be the only one at school Rose can call a friend, but she'll find out about Rose murdering people. Your character will be killed later on in the story if I choose her!
Sorry For The Mistake In The Other Post! Ignore It, And Read This One Instead! When I woke up, I was in a hospital bed.
