@pimd maybe you can get rid of the 10 items for winning. Instead a possible system of 1 action will get you 1 item up to a cap example 100, and if your team wins then you get double items.
Next one will be tomorrow morning at 8 AM PDT. The next week's wars will be scheduled in the system tonight and I'll be posting that schedule and war configuration specifics tonight as well.
I already safely pressed the "Forfeit The War" button. It only say, "You only can forfeit the war after 2 hours war" LoL. The Beta War only 2 hours. ?

Another thing I would like to suggest for beta war's, is an issue around dn's. As the war I was in just now, we lead the whole time till the end when they had more dn than us, our top 3 plunder makers made 30% of our total plunder, 3 of 25 people. They had more players with dn's, is what made us lose in the end, not due to better plans or who was more active. My suggestion is give every one 2 free regains each beta war so it comes down to who has the better plan, who has more active, not down to who got the lucky draw of who has more dn users on their side.
*off topic* @ PIMD, are you using a computer like most mods do to read and reply on forums? Or are you in ATA headquarters in Vancouver? Just curious.
Both And length for beta war changes depends on the change, whether the system would already accommodate it, or if it would take some code work. Code work can also very based on the complexity of the change.
