Beta War - Test #3

  1. It probably would have been useful to post time, duration of wait, approx time of war etc. was signed up but now that I know I can't war till 1am my time, I have to chuck the war idea. This is after leaving a club mid way through hunt. Please be more forthcoming with all the information you have at hand.

    For the rest of the hunt, we will be posting a schedule so everyone has fair warning.
     
  7. Yes. Our previous tests where you only earn items for actually taking some kind of action seems to have drastically reduced the amount of inactive participants.

    We're not penalizing or harshly enforcing for being inactive, but there's not point signing up if you're not going to do anything.
     
  8. Hey War-King, I don't understand how that would help with the Items earned Per hour issue.

    Wars eat up 4 hours of one's time, if the number of items isn't similar to what you'd get for the average player partying for 4 hours, I could see how that would discourage people from warring. I could see increasing the items per action AND the cap, so it more closely matches parties.
     
  9. @pimd, thanks. Sorted it this time around by setting my alarm clock. Lets hope I can still function at this hour
     
  10. What I mean is instead of just increasing the cap, like from 50 hits to 60, to make it each hit gets more drops, ATM it's 1hit 1 drop max of 50 hits to obtain most drops, what I suggest is 1 hit 2 drops 50 max hits total of 100 drops kinda sorts thing
     
  11. Why not give 2 drops per successful hit & 1 drop per failed hit attempt and give 1 drop for every successful battle defense. Keep the drops low and give a better incentive to the winner. Maybe max of 30 action drops and an additional 30-40 drops to the winning team
     
  12. I think winners should get 100eggs plus there eggs for actions. i also think war-kings 1hit=2limos idea should be used and benztech's idea failed hit=1limo n a succesful hit=2limos should be used with max hits 50.

  16. Will this be the time for the following daily beta wars? If it is, I'll be so dissapointed. I was excited for Beta Wars, but knowing I'll be asleep by the time sign-ups end, and that I'll be inactive, I'm not signing up. Hopefully, they will be different times during the day. Or do two Beta Wars a day, maybe? Thanks for listening.

    How does 8 am PDT AND 3pm PDT sound?
    Twice a day, for different timezones. :)

    Also, thanks for the clarification on what you meant War King.
    I also like the idea of 2x for successful actions 1x for failed.

    Regarding increasing the overall win amount, if we make that too much, we'll end up with inactives signing up again, banking on their side winning without doing anything.
