I went to an all girls school between the ages of 10-15, honestly I wasn't too happy about it. However I had plenty of girl and guy friends outside of school, which was a bonus. I consider myself lucky to have had friends, but I know some of the other girls struggled when it came to dating and interacting with guys in general, especially since all schools above the age of 16 are mixed here. To sum it up, I don't agree with single gender schools because it can cause unnecessary stress and social anxiety.
Depends on the kid. I think just a different experience. Some people enjoy and benefit from it. Some people don't. Who's to say whether it's better?
But I think in all honesty things like homeschooling and single gender schools kinda hinder you from getting a real world interaction with people/ the opposite gender. I can imagine if you're only surrounded by girls your whole life boys are put on some pedestal or you fear them greatly. Whereas if you what total idiots they are on a day to day basis they're really no problem. Same for guys going to a guy schools. I mean I know boys already go through that strange female obsession phase when you really just want to touch a boob. So I'd imagine upon being released from your testosterone filled prison I could you being a slightly more perverted. But you know then there's always college and that's a growing experience for everyone. Though there may be more downfalls for those not previously exposed to certain things, they usually figure themselves out. Which is why I'd strongly advise against continuing you single gender education at an all female college or an all make college. The though of that just makes me cringe.
How else are people to make babies??? Not only should it be mixed gender schools, but schools should have love hour, where all students get to evaluate each other.
I'm not really sure due to the fact I have never attended nor met a person who attended a single gender school. So I decided to go research on it(cause I wanted to get info from the smarty pants peeps) And studies say that it is actually better for some cause you will not be distracted by someone of a different gender, and you would be more relaxed around ppl of the same gender cause you wouldn't have the need to impress them in front of both genders. In some way it was practically saying ppl who go to same gendered school are smarter than peeps who go to co-ed schools since they don't waste their time with petty drama like the stuff co-ed schools do. ?
Ikr, that's why I found it stupid. Sure it said it will allow them to concentrate better but that does not mean they would be smarter. Idr which site I saw it from but it made it seem like putting yo kid in same gendered classes would make them smart
Concentrate better? Noo lol. My friends ruined that. Not cute boys. Infact I only went to history cause my teacher was hot! And the boy I had a crush on was in that class. An I did all my work to get noticed by my teacher lol.
One thing I love about co-ed schools is cause I love seeing the fights the students get into, it's so fun ?
