Anyone interested in politics?

  1. That being said, it shouldn't be hard to debate against Romney. Way to many "uh"'s by Obama. I also felt that when they were talking about the Medicare stuff that Obama wasnt making very good arguments against Romney. That's my totally honest opinion...

  2. Considering I'm a business owner and I deal in corporate structure, compliance and tax mitigation, what Romney said made perfect sense.

I'm curious, what did Romney lie about? Please be more specific as I hate when people accuse others of lying with no basis.

  3. I just watched a rerun of the debate and I thought Romney did a fantastic job.... not sure why people keep saying he doesn't give enough details, like jeez they only had a few minutes to talk how is he supposed to go into extreme detail in that amount of time... he just gives a quick overview of his plans... I'd sure like to hear Obama try and defend his last four failed years a bit more though... it mind boggles me how he has any supporters left.lol and I LOVED romneys line 'mr president your entitled to ur own opinion, your own private jet but not your own facts'so true!lol

  4. Those four years were like cleanup for the previous president. I wanna see with Barack can do.

  5. bushs worst debs year over 8 tears president was 500bill... Obama has accumulated 6 trill over four years!!! another Obama term will kill the states!

  6. I have the solution 

Romney and Obama will have a Pokemon battle for the presidents office

  7. Obama's policies only contributed 1.44 trillion not 6, that's from the recession that was already in process before Obama took office. He can't be blamed for it while the policies, wars, etc. before Obama made a 5.07trillion debt. 

  8. Hmm. Pokemon battle.

    ...

Nah, I propose we elect a potato instead. (It got elected on the KaW thread.)

  9. Danzo, stop saying smart things that make sense, they're republicans.

And I wouldn't consider myself an Obama "supporter", he hasn't done really great, despite the mess bush left. But there sure as hell isn't a single republican in the world who's going to do better.

  10. I watched a bit. I feel like Obama wasn't forward enough but, yeah, both just kind of talked around questions and didn't get to the point. Also...
    AMERICA FUCK YEAH

  11. "Used his presidency as a celebrity status"

Hold up, what the ****? :|

  12. You see why we don't bring politics up ever Qin?

  13. Even if Romney was a good enough man to use his businessman status to fix some of the debt instead of only caring about how much money him and his rich buddies have in their pockets, he'll spend most of his term illegalizing abortion and getting rid of welfare.

I found a good question earlier and I thought I'd post it:

Which founding father said "tax cuts for the rich are the path to prosperity"?

Oh yeah, none of them ever. Whoops, my fault. This trickle down method is also what caused the whole problem in the first place. The reason children take history classes is to learn from our past mistakes so that we don't make them again, right? So why try something again that failed so recently?

  14. Woahdere not qualified? Obama is a quite intelligent, and has got the charisma and leadership qualities.

  15. Ten: President Obama has slowed down the recession. Nobody is talking depression anymore, and some are talking recovery. Trying to catch this economy from crashing was like trying to catch a 100 ton boulder dropped off a 70-story building. The inertia alone is going to push you backwards until you can slow the force. Most wouldn’t even step in front of a boulder coming at them like this. Obama stepped in the gap and stuck to a measured recovery plan of stimulus dollars and labor force transition.
Nine: President Obama saved Wall Street. And Wall Street tried to punk him by paying itself first. He exposed the absence of regulatory oversight on Wall Street, and economic and financial investment reform is being discussed like never before.
Eight: President Obama saved the collapse of the American automotive industry. By making GM restructure before bailing them out, and putting incentive money to help the industry, he saved the industry. People want to make jokes about “cash for clunkers” but the automakers aren’t laughing. They’re thanking him.
Seven: President Obama shifted the focus of the war from Iraq to Afghanistan, and putting the emphasis on reducing terrorism where it should have been all along-but now they want to say he’s making war, not peace. Well, at least he didn’t destabilize a whole region on a false premise. It’s better than what we had.
Six: President Obama relaxed Anti-American tensions throughout the world. This was more serious than the previous administration was willing to let on. The President made good on his promise to make a major address on American-Muslim relations and he did it in a Muslim country, showing a good faith that America hadn’t shown in a while.
Five: President Obama closed the prisoner “torture camp” at Guantanamo Bay. Holding prisoners for eight years without charging them was acceptable under the previous administration. It is not acceptable under this administration. Obama’s next challenge is what to do with the detainees.
Four: President Obama has made the environment a national priority, and a primary source for job creation. The era of polluting industrialists is over, and with a President that understands the benefits of green conversion, America can become a leader in the industry of the future.
Three: President Obama has made education a national priority by putting emphasis and money behind new ideas like charter schools, but speaking directly to school children in telling them they have to do their part. It’s what any President should be encouraging but Obama’s so popular, he was accused of trying to “socialize” or “proselytize” the children. It’s a sad day when the President of the United States can’t speak to school children because their parent’s views conflict.
Two: President Obama is on the verge of passing universal health care, with a public option, to insure everybody in America has care when they are sick. He’s doing it, despite vilification of ideologues and while in the midst of an H1N1 epidemic where millions could get sick this winter. The people feel him on this.
One: President Obama has restored credibility to the American Presidency where the world is looking to him to lead America out of unilateralism and back into multilateral global cooperation. The Nobel Peace Prize was an acknowledgment that Obama had led and is leading a non-violent cultural revolution in America. Everybody, except for a few in America, can see the change. Still, the world understands what happened one year ago, and they thought they’d never see such a shift occur. The election of Obama helped the world see the light that America wasn’t ready to self-destruct.

Gotten from an article on google, not my own writing. (Obviously)

Obama was elected president, not Jesus. Did you think he was going to snap his fingers and fix the whole thing in one term?

  16. This article was written about a year after he was elected into office. So I bet you could find several more things he's done in the other 3. Proof? The h1n1 reference, which is not a current issue anymore.

  17. I'm pretty sure Roe v. Wade won't be overturned anytime soon. And Romney wouldn't be able to make abortion illegal if he were elected. It would have to be voted on in the House and Senate first. Checks and balances, remember?

That said, both candidates suck. To make matters worse, your vote doesn't even matter. Whoever you elect will get in office and do whatever he wants, regardless of popular opinion.

    Vote Libertarian! 

  18. I didn't say he would succeed in illegalizing it. Your post makes mine more valid, because that means it would take much longer. (If it actually succeeded.)
