I think they could be gold statues, but each character has a different animal

 

Ok Whos all in it say this 

 

I call a Phoenix

 

And that animal is, like, their spirit animal

 

We shouldn't do mythical animals…

 

Phoenix for me

 

Awwwwww but pheonix is my spiritual animal

 

And all of them found the statue because they have the power of that animal in their blood or whatever

And later on, they'll discover that they can control that animal and/or turn into one
