She has the ability to slow time for someone, giving them a chance to think things over, and possibly prevent a horrible decision... She cannot, however, slow time in a way that lets the person move faster, only their perception of time. So she can't slow time down to save someone who has a bullet coming towards them, but she can slow time down to make the shooter think over his/her actions before they shoot...
