  5. " The tears from heaven "
    Chapter Three

Misuki sat on a rugged brown bench in the middle of a park. Head tilted down and hazel eyes glazed over with defeat. Tears began to well up in her eyes and slowly trail down her cheeks. She had spent so much energy searching for him. Still unable to locate him in such a busy city.

She was never one to give up. Although at this point in time, the situation had begun to be a hopeless cause. It was frustrating to have you're hands on something you desperately needed, only to have it ripped from you're grip in a moment of weakness.

A tiny rain drop landed on the back of her hand, Followed shortly by another which took it's place on the back of her white cotton dress. She flinched from the cold sensation, a shiver making it's way down her spine. A small sniffle followed by a shaky in take of breath. Her fingers grasped at the lace lining the end of her dress. Clenching the material in her hand.

The small rain drops turned in to bigger ones, which in turn became a down pour. A whimper escaped her lips as hesitantly lifted her gaze from the ground to the sky. Her tears mixing in with the rain now pouring from the darkened skies. Thunder and lightning crackled and boomed in the distance.

Her shoulders sagged forward, her gaze adverted back to gaze at her shoes. She flinched as the thunder hit closer, clenching her hands in to white knuckled fists, " Segaru...Saiyuli...Tasha...Anna...I'm so sorry...I failed. I couldn't find him, it's all my fault. Please forgive me for my intolerant failure. ", She whispered to those she had grown to love as friends and family.

The four people closest to her that were fighting with every ounce of strength in their holy being. She shifted uncomfortably in her spot. Vision blurring as the steady beat of her heart dropped in pace. Her cheeks flushed a light pink, tilting forward slightly. She grabbed on to the arm rest of the bench, which curved in a strange design that she had never seen before. Devil's work.

Unable to hold herself upright, she released the arm rest. Hitting the ground sharply on her right side. She felt the sharp sting on the side of her head. A numbing sensation tingling it's way through her fingers. She gazed out at the saddened gray side walk which looked like it hadn't been worked on in years.

Her teeth worried at her bottom lip, fighting to stay conscious. To her surprise, a set of black five inch heeled boots came into her vision. The rain slid off the slick leather as if propelled away. Her eyelashes fluttered several times. She was exhausted and energy drained.

It took more of her energy using her powers here than in heaven. Which would explain why she felt the way she felt at that particular moment. She allowed her eyes to close, unable to see the young woman kneeling down beside her. Darkness took over and sleep came swift.

Words of concern from a strange confused woman fell on deaf ears.
