Fae: "He used to be in charge on John's guard.. Now he's taken over responsibility of mine, I tried telling him that I want you two, Mark and Alexander to protect me but he is determined to carry out an investigation and training for you all. The only one he thinks is legit is Fawn.."
Cato: "Hold on. I am in charge of your guard, I'm praetorian commander, the emperor's personal guard. It has been this way for years now" closes my fists "I don't know who this guy is, but he won't take my place"
James: You have no say in the matter. -Walks inside- Nor are you being replaced. I stood at John's side even before he took the throne, if anything you were nothing more than a substitute while I was gone. By the way, you have done sloppily. -Turns to Fae and salutes- Good news Fae, I have cleared Cato and Alexander. I have not finished Mark... However if you wish he may be accepted immediately.
Fawn: "I'm legit and Cato wasn't until now? People really don't know me... We've provee ourselves to Fae. All who is left to prove himself is you James" I say turning to him.
James: Hmm... -Turns to Fawn- Hmmm... I like you, you're smart. What you have said is true of course, to be honest the only reason you were accepted so quickly is because Fae recommended you. However, since she trusts you so much, you may both enter as Centurions. I will provide special quarters and money for your pocket. Training will be provided and when you are ready you will be assigned to the palace, most likely as Primus Ordines.
Cato: "Oh excuse me, but where were you when John died? Talk about lousy job" I snark and then walk out the room slamming the door behind me
Fawn: "I know how to fight and I'm her mentor. I've been teaching Fae how to fight as well. I'm staying next door so you don't need to move me into the palace."
James: What military experience do you have? And why would Fae need an instructor? John told me before I left he was assigning her a tutor so that she may take his place someday. She already knows how to fight.
Fawn: "It's called being a blacksmith's daughter. I rejogged her memory, Fae can fully protect herself at any moment, I've made sure of that."
Fae: "I never attended any of my lessons, you would've known if you'd stayed here." Stands, beginning to get irritated
Nick:-thinks about eavesdropping on fawn,fae and james but declines as he begins a new life as a soldier in the Roman Empire-
(Nick, stop walking in and out of the palace when you want! You can't eavesdrop on anyone that is inside the palace whilst you are outside)
(I'm an assassin, it's easy to slip in and out of the palace, maybe you character should have better guards)
