The next morning I was walking to class. Up ahead Dante was walking in my direction. My heart sped up and my breathing began to race as we got close and closer. I was scared that he was going to do something so I stopped immediately and flinched. "D-Dan..." My eyes widened as he walked right past me. He said nothing and continued on. "D-Dante?" I whispered. I turned and watched him walk away. I felt my heart get a weird response to this. I felt somewhat hurt. "What the... He just..." I said quietly. "Armeria!" It was Kendra. She came over to me. "Yeah?" "First off, good morning. Second, some guy in senior year eyed me down this morning!" "Um... good morning... What?" She laughed. "Well there is this guy who is in his final year here. And he asked me out!" "Did you say yes?" "Nope. I told him I loved someone else. Besides I only need you Armeria. I don't need anyone else in my life right now." I blushed. "You make it sound so serious when you say that! You should have said yes and gone out with him." "I don't want to... Besides I am serious silly," she said poking my nose. I laughed. "I love you Kendra." She laughed as well. "I love you too Armeria!" she said and she hugged me. "Well I better get going to my next class! See ya after school she said and she left. She waved goodbye before she turned the corner and I waved back. "I can't do this with out you Kendra..." I whispered.
"I guess it's time to go home... but I still have some things I need to do..." I said quietly. "V.P..." I turned to see Dante. This was the first time he called me something other than my name. "Dante..." "If there's something you need to do then I can do it for you, so you can go home... okay?" he asked. "So what do you need done?" "Nothing! I can do everything myself!" I said somewhat irritated and I brushed past him with a bunch of folders but they flew out of my hand and they spread across the floor. I sighed. "Damn it..." "V.P," said Dante and he picked up all the folders. "You were going to photocopy all of these weren't you?" I nodded. "Yeah... so?" "That'll take hours and hours!" "So? I do it all the time. What's the big deal?" I asked. "Can I please have the folders and the papers please?" He held them tight. "If you do this... then at least let me stay and when your done let me walk you home... so you don't have to walk alone in the dark," he said. "No! Just give me the papers!" "I won't, unless you agree to this! I don't want anything bad to happen to..." "JUST STOP IT!!" I screamed. "I don't need you! I don't want you around! Please go away!" "Fine," he said and he dropped the folders and walked away. "What ever you want V.P..." Damn it... I hurt him... again... Why did I always feel hurt and bad at the same time. He needs to know how I feel. "Dante..." I whispered. I ran after him and grabbed his shirt. "Dante wait." He turned around with a surprised look. "Armer... V.P?" "I live in Parksdale. The north part," I said. "Walk me home when I'm done. But I don't need any help so you'll just have to wait around for me." "I'm fine with doing that if it means I can spend time with you afterwards," he smiled. "Shut up. I'm only letting you because I don't want you to be angry at me." "Your so cold!" he laughed. "I don't give a damn! I'm like this because it's the way I am! Don't diss me because of it!" "I still think your cute, Armeria." "Don't call me by name in that friendly tone like we are friends cause we definitely aren't." "As you wish, V.P..." He grinned at me and it was the I thought... Would that guy smile like this too...?
