"Tell me something," I said to Kendra as the day ended.

"What's wrong...?" she asked.

"What's with you and Mr.Klein? You two seem to be very close? Do you love him? I'm fine with it if you do."

"H-how can you say that?! I-I love you Armeria... Only you," she stammered. Her face went red and she didn't attempt to look at me anymore. "He... he's just liked me since the first time I came to this school."

"It seemed much more than that!" I accused.

"Don't say such things! I love you! Armeria I love you!" she cried.

I wasn't satisfied. Obviously she didn't mean it.

"You're jealous aren't you?! You're just so jealous because I seemed closer to Dante than I was with you! Well... you're wrong! I thought of you much more than I thought of him! You're my best friend! That's all I think of you as... please accept it!"

"I can't! I want you! I want you for my own!"

"That's not love! That's jealousy and obsession combined! Can't you see it? Please... don't make this harder on yourself..." I whispered.

"But... I love you," she said and she threw her arms around me. "Just being with you... makes me so happy."

"That's called friendship."

"No... It's called love. It's the same way I feel for Mr.Klein..." as soon as she said that she covered her mouth and backed away. "F-forget what I just said!" she demanded.

"What was that?! Do you love him? Do you really love him?" I asked her.

"No! That's not what I meant!" she said and she covered her face. "Don't make me say it..."

"But I want you to say it! If you don't you won't be telling yourself the truth! I don't want you living like this!"

"I won't say it cause it's not how I feel! I love you! Why can't you understand that?!" she demanded and she stormed away.

My heart tightened in my chest. It was a lie... I could easily tell by her actions just how much she loved that other man. How was I going to get her to admit it though...?
