~~~~~~~~ ________ ~~~~~~~~ The next morning I met up with Joshua at McDonalds. "Keely." His attitude was warm, bright, and happy. He smelled earthy, like he'd slept outside while it was raining. "Hey Joshua. So, what do you want?" I asked. His eyes examined me "Hmmm. I want you." he replied in a low voice. "Whaaa? M-me?" I sounded more nervous than I should have. He was kidding, he had to be. "Yes. You, and I'm not kidding. Why do you think I kissed you before I left? I love you, but then I come back and your got some stupid boyfriend." Joshua said, his voice rising, and becoming bitter. "Me? No." I replied "Yes. You. Only you. I waited and waited, while you moved on." Joshua was practically yelling now. "Well I'm sorry you didn't make your intentions clearer before you left me!" I yelled back. He dropped his head " I kissed you." "I understand, but haven't you heard of a goodbye kiss." I questioned him. "Not unless they love that person!" Joshua was getting under my skin, and I was only letting him. "Look, Joshua, maybe this isn't for the best." I said calmly. I started to walk out the door, but he grabbed my arm. "Kee---." "Let me go!" I screamed. I could feel tears coming to my eyes. "Keely, I'm sorry." Joshua kept repeating. "So am I." I said, running out the door. I made it home still crying. I walked up to the door only to find Cameron. "Keely, what's wrong?!" Cameron said, jumping up from the ground. "H-h-he. ~~~~~~~~~ _________ ~~~~~~~~~ "He what?!" Cameron screamed. "Where is the little faggot?!" "I-I-I don't know. I left him standing there." I replied quietly. "Good choice. Now, let me go take care of this." "Cameron, don't go do something your going to regret." "He hurt you, Keely. I won't regret one part of this." Cameron said walking out the door. *Ring Ring Ring* "Why Keely why?" I heard Joshua's voice on the other line. I huffed. "What did you expect me to do Joshua?!" "Not run off and tell your boyfriend like a little sissy." Joshua replied. "Shut up. I'm not a sissy.... He didn't hurt you did he?" I asked feeling horrible. "No. I'm fine. I'm really sorry Keely." "Cameron! Your back. How'd it go?" I asked teasingly since I already knew. "He's Nephilim." Cameron replied. "Who what?" "Ne-ph-ilim." Cameron said slowly. "What's that?" I was so curious now. "Half human, half angel? How's that possible?" "When an angel falls they roam the world, and give away their sexual desires to woman, and then when the child is born, it is Nephilim." ~~~~~~~~ ________ ~~~~~~~~ The rain poured down hard. I sat in my room listening to my music. I felt so alone. I felt like I needed to cry or scream away my confusion. I felt like their wasn't really anyone I could trust. *Tap Tap Tap* I turned towards the noise. Joshua was sitting on my window ceil. "Open the window." I heard him mutter through the rain. I walked over slowly to my window, and let him in. "What's up Keely?" he asked. I just huffed and flung myself on my bed. Joshua sat down next to me "Dude, um..., I mean Keely. What's wrong?" "I don't know Joshua. Maybe I'm confused. My boyfriends a fallen angel, my best friends a Nephilim, and this whole time I've been acting like its perfectly normal." I replied trying to not cry or scream, as I'd been wanting to forever. "He told you about me?" Joshua asked, his eyes getting wider. "Yeah, but calm down dude. It's cool. It won't change anything. I promise." "Oh, um, okay. Good." Me and Joshua laid on my bed. My head on his chest and his arm around me. Just like old times. -------- Flashback -------- "Oh come on Keely." Joshua would plead. "No! It's silly!" "But Keely!" "But what?" I teased, sticking out my tongue. "But... I like you..." Joshua replied. "Huh? You like me?" I questioned. "Yeah..." I bursted into a fit of giggles, and ran into Joshua's arms. "Good. I thought I was the only one that felt that way." -------- End of Flashback -------- "Just like old times..." Joshua muttered softly. "Yeah..." "I miss back then. Remember when you told me your were glad I liked you?" Joshua asked. "Mhmm." "Well, don't freak out, but I think... ~~~~~~~~ ________ ~~~~~~~~ "I-I I think I love you." "Huh? Repeat that." I couldn't believe what he just said. I thought I was imagining it. "I-I love you." Joshua stuttered. "Um, I don't really know what to say." I replied shocked. "It's the part where you say "I love you too Joshua." "I love you Joshua---- Really?! You do?" he said excitingly. He kissed me softly on the lips. "You didn't let me finish. I love you, as a friend. I love Cameron." All color and excitement was drawn from his face. "Of course. Cameron. Cameron this. Cameron that. You don't even care about me or my feelings for you anymore. Do you?" he yelled. "Of course I do Joshua." "That's bullshit. You know what? Forget it! I shouldn't have even came back!" "Joshua, wait! Please, don't leave me. I need you." I yelled chasing him down the stairs. "No. I'm not good enough. Why don't you just go find Cameron." Tears streamed from my face. Joshua's face soften "Keely. I'm sorry. I didn't mean any of this." I didn't even look at him. I just turned and ran back up the stairs to my room, went inside, locked the door, and cried.
