If it's just about being 'evil' and not about owning guns, why don't other countries have similar problems? Also your whole 'don't blame the parents/society/mental illness' thing is just kind of silly. People aren't born murderers, it's from abuse and stuff which is usually from the parents
Let's say America decided to ban all guns, this of course would lower the deaths that ARE gun-related, but would it lower the deaths over-all, or would most of the criminals who are the ones causing gun-related deaths and violent crimes, and not responsible, law abiding citizens, just find different tools to kill with. I'm curious did the homicides/ violent crimes drop in countries where guns were banned, or did they stay the same? Did they drop slightly or a lot? Because if banning guns in the USA does not lower the homicides and violent crimes, then I rather not have our guns taken away. In fact, I don't even think America has a gun problem like one of you stated. America has a violence and crime problem, a poverty and even a suicide problem. Bout 30k guns deaths a year: most of those from suicide, then crime related in cities that suffer from poverty, then mass shooters which cause like 1% of gun-related deaths. If some of these issues were fixed along better gun control laws the deaths by guns would drop significantly. One more thing. MURCIA
^ it literally takes two seconds looking at the history of other countries with stricter gun laws to find the answer to that. next.
^ I'll look it up l8r m8 but I will say cities like Chicago have the highest murders and they have some really strict anti-gun laws. Look at baltimore, strict gun control lots of death. A lot of cities with strict gun control have lots of murders, yet there are cities/states with less gun control and they don't seem to have that many problems with murders ?
To Kitten... I actually have to chime in on this one... Have you ever heard of Huey P. Newton? To 4NIC8... In California, there have been laws like this for quite some time, and they have become more and more strict. In addition to a very thorough background check, I was required to take a test (to legally purchase handguns) when I first arrived to acquire my firearm safety license (back then handgun safety license), and my weapons (that I already legally owned in other states) were considered illegal in this state upon entry because of their magazine capacity (for example my XD-9 mod.2 13+16 mag blocked to 10rds to be made compliant) and “assault styled or menacing appearing features” (Pistol grip, chainsaw, pictanny rails, quick mag switch, scope, laser strobe, and tactical flashlight). So I simply own more mags now, and have changed the design of the weapons to appear “less assault like” (though they are self defense and hunting rifles in the first place). I could not even carry them into the state. I had to ship them to a licensed firearms dealer and then pay fees to recieve them... from MYSELF!!! If shít ever hits the fan, I will simply remove the blocks, bullet buttons, and stock that requires the weapon to be completely disabled while reloading. It takes me less than 20 seconds to remove mag blocks, and less than 5 minutes to return my rifles back into a state where I can begin reloading magazines efficiently. I have practiced this until I did not make any mistakes even under stress. The laws, since then, have become even more strict. I had to retest to keep all of my rifles and shotguns legally as well a couple years ago. Then, the laws became even more strict last year and now my AK became completely illegal as of January 1st until it is registered (grandfathered in). That’s right folks... now I am required to admit that I have an “assault rifle”? (probably as grounds for an illegal search and seizure later). Then it will be legal again. My bump stocks also became illegal during this decade. I had to throw them away ($1000+) because it became an automatic felony to even possess them and at this point trying to sell them is extremely risky. Buying ammunition in bulk will also become more difficult soon. I have acquired a decent stock pile of ammo that has been stored properly to prevent misfires and decay. Of course, I have more plinking rounds than self defense rounds... but the self defense rounds can be far more dangerous. These are not stored in the same place as the weapons because that is the law. Every single one of my weapons is required by law to have a locking mechanism on them when not in use and they can not be loaded at all while I am transporting them. If you can picture this at all.... what I am telling you in this post is that the laws have made it extremely difficult for a responsible gun owner and law abiding citizen to possess a gun at all in the first place while remaining fully compliant... and I haven’t even covered an 8th of the entire story of what obeying the gun laws is really like, or what it costs to be able to do it properly. If you’re poor, stick to sling shots basically. Guns... themselves can be cheap, but ammo is getting expensive though. Oh and if you’re moving... tough... movers legally cannot move your weapons because in California it is illegal for you to purchase or grant possesion of a firearm to ANYONE (including family members) else period, without a proper firearms dealers license. Summary and points in general... Just like most of you won’t even read all of what I wrote, a person who intends to do harm with a weapon won’t read or obey all of the intended gun laws. The next time the police shoot an unarmed man, we won’t say “the police shouldn’t be able to carry firearms” so why are we so quick to do it with citizens? The next time innocent people are killed by a drone dropping bombs we won’t say “the military shouldn’t be allowed to have bombs.” We will be satisfied with better training and education in those cases... and why is that? (You’ve been programmed to do so... (snowflakes and sheep man?...) I also wish people would stop bringing up certain inner cities when it comes to this issue. You know how many school mass shootings have happened in the hood? That’s right 0. You know how many guns are in the hood... legal and illegal...? foh... And not only was he arrested and taken into custody ALIVE!!! Most of the shooters fit the same... “characteristics”... but we hardly ever bring up THOSE statistics because manipulating those statistics that apply directly to the discussion don’t quite fit our sjw agenda so we just leave them out. So yeah... let me fuccin vent MY frustration and call it what the fucc it really is... Another devil unleashes the “evil” that he has inside and destroys the lives as many people as he possibly could have because he felt ENTITLED to do so. (Mental issue MY ASS... I’m so sick of this fuccing excuse to defend these piece of shít people) So let’s blame and strip the rights away from everyone else, instead of properly profiling the people that are causing a majority of the issues in society that are also simultaneously destroying it. Terrorist want to take YOUR freedoms away... so if this whole thing isn’t terrorism then what in the fúck is it? Tldr...Elephant in the room: Yet another white guy shoots a bunch of innocent people for seemingly no reason and is taken into custody by police without being shot to death like an animal because... you know... he deserves justice... he is entitled to it. Furthermore, guns purchased legally or illegally are not allowed in most schools!!!! GO FIGURE!!! You want to know which schools allow guns??? Firearms training schools!!! Police Academies... How many mass shootings happen there?!!! I’ll answer it for you... 0. Fiys?
You know statistically since the UK banned guns which was like 1996 until a recent date America had 219 mass killings. Whereas uk has only had a handful
How many did they have before hand and how many less do they have than a country that is statistically similar in most other categorys that has not banned guns in the same time period? Apples to apples when making comparisons or it doesn’t really make sense statistically to compare them.
USA is one of 3 countries with the right to bare arms laws. Mexico and Guatemala are the other two.. way to keep up with the elite nations, 'Merica :|
Tru loves California. Only place in the world where I have like 59 brands of ziplock bags, ketchup, dog food, etc. choices to choose from.
Believe it or not... some people like to read and write. Also, you just proved part of my point and don’t even realize it. It’s not “trying too hard” because it is what I go through everyday. I’m guilty until proven innocent. I haven’t gone into any store with my hands in my pockets and that has been an unspoken rule since I was a child... and someone like you probably can’t even connect the dots to see how that applies to this subject.
the one who got shot and murdered? like, with a gun? killed with a gun? literally shot in the head twice?? yea, i have. thanks.
His parents and foster parents died. It's about nurture. Nurture makes us who we are, right or wrong?
