when has the american government - in this case, the police - ever been deterred by anyone, especially minorities, being armed? what case in recent history can you cite where a police officer, placed in front of an armed minority, went "oh fuck, i better treat this person with respect and not harm them" as opposed to literally just murdering them on-site and being emboldened by the fact that they were armed, knowing it means their time off will be paid? in fact, when has someone ever flashed a gun at an already-equally-armed person, and the situation de-escalated because of it? guns are not going to "protect you" from the government's drones and trillion-dollar military, guns are not going to protect you from the police, guns are not going to protect you from bad people with other guns. you're going to fucking die. the "give guns to minorities" "arm the proletariat" "protect citizens from the state" bull is fucking tiring. people are dying. the solution is not, and has never been, adding more fire to it. disarm america.
Trayvon Martin, Emmet Till, Rodney King... Big three. 2015-2017 several unarmed African American men and women were mercilessly slaughtered. In retaliation a black man took a shot gun and murdered 7 police officers. Australia is very different from America. Notice our much greater number of racists residents. Let's take it further back to slavery times, if we had access to guns, do you think we would've been enslaved for so long? I take it personal when people blame inanimate objects instead of the true culprit which was the shooter... So stop trying to let the shooter get off free as if it isn't all his fault and the authorities who were alerted. Also, he was expelled. Why was he allowed anywhere near the school grounds? Where was security?
What matters most to me, is authorities paying closer attention and actually listening. And us as citizens having the right to own firearms to protect ourselves. Now if you have our gun laws, there are countries wit less freedom out there dat you can move to. I'm not scared of a gun. Read what I write, before typing out your ass
you just said you're not scared of a gun yet admitted trayvon and hundreds of other black kids would be alive without them the rest of your post i already addressed. you, again, just didnt read it.
Guns deadly intentions = Deadly tragedy Would say that firearms is not just a problem, but part of the problem. There are other weapons available, but this is one which is so physically dangerous with a large destructive ability yet so easily accessible. Humans can’t be controlled but can be educated, however some people are just stuck in thought only looking to destroy. It’s hard to identify when they will snap and strike. To take away the weapon will be one of the effective action to minimise these shooting disasters that have been happening way too often in America now. My condolences for the people whose lives have to end too quick too soon, but without doing anything regarding gun control, I am certain that history will repeat itself, just like it did again.
... Not at all. What I simply stated was, we need guns to protect ourselves. I'm not scared of guns cause life is harder than death. Without guns ever existing, I doubt many of us would be a live right now. We'd still be under Britain's control... actually, Africa wouldn't be controlled by a white man, some diseases wouldn't exist due to invasions going wrong, and criminals would strive even more in masse and get away easier without the fear of being shot. Guns aren't always good, but they've shaped the history of the world. Guns made America the superpower of the world. Again, it's the people who use guns, not the guns themselves.
They could create an approval system for people who want to own guns. They'd have to take a test for like a driver's license.
No, just like a permit to be able to own a gun. There should be like a test every 4-6 months because mental states change often
