After our civil war We got a three tier system President Prime Cabinet Throughout this time hes the head of state, army and picks the pm, He is limited Because after 10 years (max) Its kind of a touchy subject but basically we want equally chances FOR new government We had a civil war because of continued Leader ship
Awesome thread! One point that I really like is that you stated that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land. If both sides of the aisle would recognize that, we would get a lot of things done faster.
Honestly, I don't care much about the government. It's fucked up and will more than likely always be fucked up. It doesn't matter who is the President is. The damage is done and society is crumbling.
I am a downer too then because I agree. I think there is way too much damage to be fixed, especially with how expensive things are getting over the years, there will always be debt and I feel no one will be happy with any president because I can't see any president making that drastic of changes.
Then again, that is the Legislative branches problem, and less the Executive branches problem. The President is more of a figure of speech, in the sense of authority. Sure he is at the top, delivers speeches, and signs papers.. But the people vote on everything, and the people vote on everyone who votes on the laws.. So it isn't really the Presidents fault for anything.. It is everyone's fault for something. We, as citizens, (assuming you are all citizens) do not have any power in the senate, congress, house of representatives, or in the state, (another assumption), but we do vote for the people who uphold those positions.. Again, people vote blindly just the exercise the right they have to vote, and that is when politics turns into a debate.. Because when people vote for others blindly and do not research, stupid people are voted into serious positions and do stupid things.. In my own personal opinion.. All the people in the house of representatives need to be exchanged anyway, because of the fact they are all old white males. No racism there, but it proves a bias stand-point based on the fact that they believe in what they grew up with, and it clogs judgement, (third and final assumption) I do agree we are in a downward spiral.
Agreed completely Logan and very nicely put. I am not one to judge any president on what happens, I just feel the damages will not be corrected with the way everything is going. So many are quick to blame the president and that is why I say they will not be happy no matter who is the president.
I try my hardest to not be a downer. Life is too precious for that. On even the worst days, all I have to do is look at my daughter and her smile, and I smile immediately. If she is happy, healthy, and safe, I am a happy person no matter what.
People will be unhappy regardless of what happens.. We need someone that doesn't lie for popularity.. Which then again raises another point... There is a website, which I'm sure I am not allowed to mention, that exposes the political advertisements for what they really are... You know those ads that are like, President Obama once said, (this is a fake quote and is only used for representational purposes.. "We as a country . . . are in a completely huge mess." See those 3 dots? That is an ellipses. That means there is something that is missing in the sentence, and is finished off with another part of a sentence.. In writing, that style of writing is used when you do not want to write out a direct piece of information, but you want to get across the same meaning. The thing is, the sentence that Obama might have been wanting to say was " We as a country can work together to get through this. I know we are in a completely huge mess. We will get through this together." Now you can see how politics works in a political light.. The truth behind politics. All the advertisements are mostly lies anyway.. So just think before you vote.. (To everyone)
