Hmmm well then I suppose it will be infamous 2 against prototype 2. I liked the powers in prototype better such as running up the walls and being able to switch "weapons" easier. In infamous it was in essence a shooting game and as I've said before I'm not a twitch shooter. Also, I ran into a bunch of glitches I've mentioned before and to get the plat I had to collect 1000 blast shards
Mine were significant gameplay glitches such as in the first chapter when you all spoiler...? rush the gates to escape quarantine and have to take cover by those large crates... A few times one of the enemies would meld with the crate and I couldn't shoot him yet he could most definitely shoot me. Also.. Running around a lot I found I just fell through the ground on numerous occasions and this also happened to a coworker. But it's mostly the damn blast shards that made me angry every now and again I hunt for plat so I find collection trophies to be annoying
Going back to the great PS3 Xbox 360 debate. You keep talking about glitches, I really don't get many. The only problem I run into is the occasional freeze, which has happened on every console (called a crash on the PC). I think this is because a lot of game developers are creating the games on the 360 and then reformatting them.
I think if you're good it's blue. Is it weird that I feel guilty if I'm bad in a video game? Infamous, Bioshock, Fallout, Prototype, LittleBigPlanet when I fling my friends off ledges... Also... It's true that because 360 came before PS3 that it had a jump. With big titles like the Halo franchise, it was able to create a niche market. It is also cheaper to produce games for the 360. In terms of hardware, the PS3 is so far advanced that it has the potential to make the 360 obsolete...
However. Even though games are cheaper to produce on the 360, developers are finding that they can expand their games with the Sony hardware. You can't deny this. Sony even realized at launch that they were way advanced as their $ tag was astronomical. That's why backwards compatible ps3's are obsolete. They cost to much to produce. But I digress. Developers are able to do much more on the ps3 than the 360. Take L.A. Noire. Team bondi originally slated the game to be ps3 exclusive. It was produced for ps3. Rockstar bought it and gave it also to Microsoft. That is the only reason. 1 blu ray disc to 3 (I believe) 360 HD discs.
*too Keep in mind also (nerd rage lmao) that L.A. Noire is the most expensive video game ever made.($50 million I think?) and uses the facial technology of the movie Avatar. It was made for the ps3. It runs better for the ps3. Keep an eye out, though a lot of games are ported from 360 to ps3, it's becoming more common for games to be ported from ps3 to 360 now
I haven't run into any issues yet Hulk down attagirl lol. I get too passionate about silly things. At work we constantly debate 360 and PS3 and even customers ask us I can always whip out my ace and say... At least Sony didn't have a 50 % failure rate at launch which led to Microsoft having to warrantee their systems specifically for the red ring of death I am a Sony girl, but I also have a 360. There are pros and cons to both.
The ps3 is still behind both the Wii and 360 on sales. Xbox has a lot better marketing, and a much larger community. Game developers notice this. This is why producers will always focus more on the 360. By the time the ps3 catches up to the Xbox (if it ever does) Microsoft will have something to counter the ps3. That is the only real argument the ps3 has now, that it supports blue ray. It used to be the failure rate, but with the new 360 that problem is gone. The final thing is Halo. This is the most Probably the most widely known game on the market, people buy an Xbox just for Halo.
I'm torn on how to respond to this. At my work I admit that the 360 section is much larger than the PS3 section. And in my region there are about 5 other of our chain that likewise have the same set up. But like I said before, this is because the 360 was released prior to the PS3. When PS3 was first launched, I was working at the store, and yes it was a measly line up. 360 got many exclusives that PS3 did not. But now when you line them up: 360: Halo, Gears of War, Left 4 Dead, etc. PS3: LittleBigPlanet, Killzone, Infamous, Ratchet, etc. The big games like COD, Dead Rising 2, Mass Effect 3, Borderlands, Resident Evil, etc. All these games are released for both systems. Why? Microsoft couldn't capitalize on their sales quickly enough to snuff out Sony's lackluster launch and now they run about even. The only claim 360 users can say is that they've been around a little longer and that's why more people own 360 than PS3. However I think if you came to my work you'd be surprised how many 360 users are turning to the Sony side. And as far as sales... Nintendo kind of trumps all and they didn't even need next gen graphics.
