Jen, I absolutely agree with this thread and every point made herein. I would like you to know that, while it appears that the BOYS on this game have given many of us older MEN a bad wrap as of late, chivalry is not dead. At least, it's not dead for this old ghost. I do in fact hold doors open for women whom I do not know and take the time to listen to their problems and issues even if I myself can not find a solution. I have carried a friend to bed because she fell asleep on the couch simply because she would be more comfortable there. The young men today need to realize that telling a girl or woman that she is beautiful or actually paying her a compliment, instead of saying, "Hey baby, you got a bangin body and I'd like to see how it works." or something equally as moronic, bears a lot more weight with her. You see, being "cool" isn't about fitting in to a group. It's not about how much you make, what kind of car you drive, or where you live. Being cool doesn't mean you have to be a pro athlete or a movie star. Being cool, being respectable, and being respected all come from who you are as a person and who you want your children to look back and see. Do you want them to look at you and say, "What the hell is he/she doing?" Or do you want them to be able to look at you and say "That's my mom/dad" and not have to refer to a picture to see when you were "cool". Set the example for the younger generations to come. We don't have to be the Cleaver's but we don't have to live the way most do now, by defiance and ridicule. Maybe I'm just old fashioned and maybe I misunderstood or went off track but hey, I'm old, what do you expect?
Jen there are SO many chauvinistic, egotistical losers out there let them make fools of themselves no respectful woman is into "baby boys" who behave that way long hair don't care

I thought about coming up with a slick comment, but it's early and I'm tired, and this is also a really good (if long overdue) post. Well done, Jen Kids, just because your attention span is a blink and apps are a dime a dozen doesn't mean your human connections should be so cheap and disposable. getting off my soapbox
