Alright! Here it is! And be forewarned, it's intense! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 11 "Marie, you have O negative," the nurse smiled at me. I squeaked and jumped out of my chair. I didn't want to give more blood! I took off my heels, let go of Dustin's hand, threw open the door, and ran. Dustin called after me. I heard his feet hit the floor in the same rhythm as mine. I made it to the stair door and pushed it open. I ran down and headed for the lobby. Dustin wouldn't stop following me! I finally reached the lobby and looked around frantically. I started running again when all of a sudden I was tackled to the ground. I was pinned with my hand above my head an Dustin holding me down with his body. "Let me go!" I screeched. I struggled to get out from under him. "Marie, listen to me! And stop struggling!" Dustin exclaimed. I stopped struggling and looked away from him. Dustin removed a hand from my hands and pushed my face to look at him. I just glared at him. "Marie, I'll be right next to you. I'll be holding your hand. You are doing this to save your sister! You said you would do that! Am I lying?" he asked breathlessly. "No," I mumbed. "Alright. I am going to get up and let you up. Do not run, because I will tackle you again. Understand?" I nodded and he got up. He held out his hand. I took it and got up. I bend down and grabbed my heels and purse from the floor. When I straightened back up he has a smile on his face and a look of sadifaction in his eyes. I took his hand and walked to the elevator. Dustin walked with me with a huge smile on his face. I wanted to smack that smile on his face. But I didn't and I smiled slightly. I didn't understand but I felt this weird feeling when I saw that smile and felt his touch. I did t know what it was but I know I loved the feeling of it. The elevator door opened and we walked in. I pressed the button with the number three on it. We felt the jury of it starting and rising. I just stood there, smiling and holding his hand. When we walked out at the third floor my family cheered. I let go of Dustin's hand before anyone got any ideas. "You ready, Marie?" the nurse asked. I nodded and followed her back to the room. Dustin was following, with a smile on his face. When he walked in the room I slapped his arm and said, "Stop smiling!" He just chuckled and took my hand. I took at deep breath as she put the needle in my arm. I squeaked when she let go of it and Dustin squeezed my hand. I waited for a few minutes as the blood drained out of my arm. When she took it out I asked, "Th-that's it?" "Yep, just drink this and eat this cookie to regain some energy," she replied as she gave me some juice and the cookie. I I drank the juice slowly. Dustin was smiling at me. "What?" I asked. "You did it. Without running away," he replied. "I did run away." "Okay, so you did." Dustin rolled his eyes and reached for my cookie. I slapped his hand and grabbed my cookie. I finished my juice and ate my cookie. When I finished I got up and walked out. My mother hugged me and said, "I am so glad you did this for your sister!" I smiled and pulled back. My brother ran up and hugged me too. He said, "You are the best little sister in the world!" "Why?" I asked and pulled back. "You pushed past your fear of needles and did this for your sister. And you finally found a boyfriend!" My face felt red and and I looked down at the ground. "He. Is. Not. My. Boyfriend!" I squealed. "Sure I'm not," I heard from behind me. My face grew hotter. I turned slowly and I saw Dustin. He was smiling at me. I ran off and I was so embarrassed. I ran through the lobby and put on my heels. I ran back to my car and slipped into the driver's seat. I sat there trying to figure out one thing: Am I falling for Dustin? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOOOH! Marie is conflicted! What do you think?
I know there are quite a few mistakes in this update. That's because I was so excited for this update! So sorry!
Time for a short update! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 12 After thirty minutes of thinking, I heard a knock on my window. I jumped and looked out to see Dustin. I groaned and unrolled it. "Yeah?" I asked. "Can I come in?" he asked. I sighed and unlocked the passenger door. He smiled and walked around the car as I rolled up the window. He got in and I gripped the steering wheel. "You don't have to be so tense," he commented as he pointed at my white knuckles. I released the wheel and sighed. "You okay, Mar?" he asked. I winced. That was what Jason called me when he was still alive. "No," I said. "And don't call me that. Too many memories." "Are they good?" "Yeah, they just remind me of what brought me to this. After what happened barely over two years ago, I became this!" I slammed my hand on the wheel. "Hey, hey. Take it easy. It wasn't your fault." He took my hand. I pulled it back and sat my head on the wheel. "Yes it was," I whispered. He sighed and took my hand again. This time I didn't pull it back. I just let him rub his thumb along my hand. He reminded me so much of Jason! I sat there until my head hurt and I pulled back. Dustin started laughing. "What?" I asked. I was seriously not in the mood. "You have an imprint of the steering wheel on your head," he laughed. "Shut up," I groaned and covered my face with my free hand. I closed my eyes and turned towards him. When I opened my eyes his face was only mere inches from my face. "What the hell-" I started. Then he kissed me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For those of you who don't read my other stories, I am leaving for a week to help prepare for a family reunion that is coming up. So I have to hurry. I promise I will update when I can!
Turns out, I have this chapter for y'all, and it is very interesting! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 13 I pulled back surprised. I hadn't been kissed since before Jason died. Don't get me wrong, Dustin was a great kisser! But, it was so sudden! And like I said, I was rusty at the time. I still hadn't pulled my hand back. "What in the world were you thinking?" I asked breathlessly. "I was thinking you would feel better," he replied. "Not exactly." I closed my eyes. I felt him kiss me again and this time I didn't pull back. I kissed him back. When we pulled up for air I was thinking, wow. I bit my lip and looked down at the ground. I was growing hot with embarrassment. I didn't know what he was going to say. He put his hand on my chin and pulled my head back up to look at him in the eyes. His eyes were gleaming with happiness. I blinked and realised what I had done. No, I thought and pulled my hand back. "No," I whispered and sat my elbows on the steering wheel and put my head in my hands. "No what?" Dustin asked. "This isn't supposed to happen!" I exclaimed. Then I whispered, "I still love Jason." "Who's Jason?" Dustin asked, surprised. "He is the boy I love, even though he's been dead for over two years. Six days ago, when I met you, that was the day after the two year anniversary of his death." I choked when I said the last word. Then I whispered, "It would have been our five year anniversary a week ago." I felt a tear slip down my cheek. I wiped it away and got out of my car. I walked to the hospital, not knowing if Dustin was following me. I walked up the stairs to the third floor and sat down next to my parents. My mother was sitting there with a tissue in hand, eyes a ruby red. I leaned on her and she put an arm around me in comfort. <><> After five hours of waiting, Jessica was out of surgery. She wasn't awake yet, but people were allowed to sit in the room and wait. My father walked in first. He waited for an hour and walked out. He shook his head and my mother went in next. I fell asleep after she left. I woke up with someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and saw Jack. I sat up and felt a jacket slip onto the floor. "What?" I asked sleepily. "She's up," he said with a smile. I jumped up an ran to the door. I calmed myself down and walked into her room. She looked over at me smiling weakly. I smiled in relief, joy, and surprise. "How are you?" I asked as I walked over to her. "As good as you can get after surgery. And getting a bullet away from your heart," she said with a bigger smile. "How long have you been up?" "An hour or so. Your boyfriend came to see me." She jiggled her eyebrows with a small laugh. "He isn't my boyfriend." I crossed my arms. "Not according to what he told me." "It was an accident. I did not ever want to fall in love with him!" I exclaimed. A nurse came in and put a finger up to her lips. She walked out and I turned back to Jessica. "So?" Jessica asked. "Accidents shouldn't happen," I whispered. "Yes they should. Or else I wouldn't be here. Jason would be alive. You wouldn't be alive at-" she covered her mouth. "I was an accident? An accidental baby?" I asked in fear. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Didn't see any of that coming, did you?
Here it is! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 14 "Well... I can't lie to you anymore, can I?" she asked. "Nope, now tell me!" I exclaimed in a whisper. "Ask Mother." That was all she said and I walked out. My mother smiled at me but then it faded when she saw the anger on my face. "What is it, Marie?" she asked. "I-I w-was a-an a-accident?" I stuttered. My father and her just shrank where they sat, it seemed. My brother had the oh-hell-no-she-knows look. Dustin was just as shocked as I was. "Oh, dear," my mother said. "Let's talk later." "No! We have to talk now!" I exclaimed. She sighed and looked at my father for assistance. He just shrugged and said, "It's time, Martha." She nodded and looked at me sadly. Then she told me the story about how I came to be. I listened carefully, listening to every detail. When she finished I just stared at the ground. Then I stood and said, "I'm going home and packing my things." "Why?" my mother asked. "I'm doing something I should have done a long time ago!" I said. I walked off and walked down the stairs, thinking the elevator would be too slow. I heard steps behind me, and they sounded familiar. "Dustin, go away!" I exclaimed. "Good guess, but I won't," I heard Dustin's voice echo through the empty stairwell. I turned and looked at him. His eyes were gleaming. "Well," he started, "what are you going to do?" "Mover out of my parent's house." I stared at him and didn't move. "Then you can move in with me," he smiled. I looked at him with shock on my face. Then I did something I never thought I would do. I said, "I would love to." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Guess what might happen.
Update time, my loves! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 15 "Really?" he asked. I felt myself nod. What was I doing?! I didn't want this to happen! Next thing I would know is that I would be married to the guy and be pregnant with his child. "But, just as friends," I choked out. He nodded and smiled warmly. I gave out a sigh of relief and smiled slightly. He held out his hand. I bit my lip and took it out of instinct. Dustin and I walked down the stairs and to my car. "Thanks, Dustin, for this huge favor!" I said when we arrived at my car. "It's nothing," he said. "No, no, I have to pay you back! I'm going to go to college, finally, and get a good job and pay for half of whatever!" I exclaimed. "You don't have to do that!" he smiled. "Yes I-" "Here's how you can pay me back: You take me on a date and pay for the expenses." He smiled at me with a glint in his eye. "Well... Alright," I smiled slightly. I really didn't want to, but I have to admit, he was really sweet and it was a fair trade in my opinion. "Marie!" I heard from across the parking lot. I saw my so called brother. "Oh, I have to go home and pack," I smiled at Dustin. I kissed his cheek and got into my car. "Marie!" I heard closer to me. "Come on, sis!" "I am not your sister any more, Jack!" I yelled to him and started my car. "What?" he asked. I put my key in the ignition and drove home. <><> At home I packed almost everything I could. Emmit helped me pack as she was crying. I really didn't want to leave because of Emmit, but that was the only reason. Emmit, Dustin, since he followed me, and I took my stuff to Dustin's car and my cars. "M-M-Marie," Emmit stuttered as I put the last box in one of my cars, "D-D-Do y-y-you h-h-have t-to g-go?" "Oh, Emmit," I frowned and have her a hug. I let her cry on my shoulder for a few minutes. I whispered in her ear, "I'm only going to let you visit. Okay?" She nodded and pulled back. Her eyes were red as rubies and tears streamed down her face. I wanted to cry to, but I kept calm and smiled at her. "I come by occasionally, alright?" She nodded again and she got into one of my cars. I got into another and the rest of my family, not including Jessica, got into my last three cars. We drove to Dustin's house with him in the lead. I let a few tears fall down my cheeks as I drove. I wiped them away and kept driving. When we arrived I got out, waiting at the door of one of my cars. "Marie, sis, are you-" Jack started. "I am not you sister. Not anymore.," I interrupted. "Well, are you really not coming back?" he asked. "Only to visit Emmit. Other than that, you'll never see me." "What?" he asked. "I am forbidding you and Jessica and Martha and Michael from ever coming to visit. I can't handle knowing that you all kept that secret from me." I nodded at Dustin and he started taking boxes into his house. He was going to take everyone to their home when he had his car unpacked. I sat in the car, waiting for Dustin to finish. He came to my door and gave it a small knock. I got out and he asked, "Take them, now?" I nodded. "I can only barely look at them. They seemed to love me, but now I realise it was a cruel joke," I whispered. Dustin put his arms around me and gave me a quick hug. I smiled slightly at his touch and closed my eyes. When he pulled back, I acted like I didn't feel anything. "I'll be back soon. You can go ahead and start unpacking, if you want," he said. He walked off and I grabbed a box. I watched my old family get in Dustin's car. I carried the box up into Dustin's house. When I got inside, it was amazing. There was a chandelier hanging from the ceiling right when you walk in. There were two cases of stairs that lead upstairs. I looked around and saw some boxes piled up to the left in the next room. Turns out, it was the living room. The living room had a grand television hanging on the wall. There were speakers and a sub woofer beneath the television. There was a luscious chocolate brown couch with a matching love seat, chair, and ottoman. There was a glass coffee table that was huge! I sat the box I was carrying next to the others. I walked over and sat on the couch. It was even more comfortable than it looked! I lied down and sighed a sigh of relief. It seemed all the stress I had been holding for the last two years had disappeared! It felt like I was lying on a cloud! Then I closed my eyes and instantly I fell asleep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
