a new era?

  1. Pimd is what we make it.

I choose a few months back to retire from parties. It was an amazing decision. I've began to enjoy the game again by playing it the way I so choose, rather than partying because everyone else is. I've found out who my friends were quick when I stopped being extra party hits, some people quit talking to me all together. But that's fine by me! I've met amazing players these last few months. I spent a year looking for people who played the game like I do when my club went inactive. As soon as I stopped looking you all came to me!! Thank you guys for bringing the fun back to the game for me!!

I'm not sure if it's an era or not, but I'm loving it!

  2. People are raised to complain more and there is more anger over small things.

  3. I'm coming on my second year of play. I do miss a lot of how PIMD used to be, but I don't want to be some rest home old fart pining for the good old days.

I think the biggest problem are pro parties. They create a tiered system that favors mercenary behavior. You need so many active hitters at such a high kcs value that any "loyal member" who sleeps or has a life gets kicked. Being a merc under those circumstances makes sense because you are in control of your destiny.

I created my club over two months ago and I have left for a pro party once. I don't make pro level money, but I love my club and members, so fake money is just fake living. I see a day where I can do pros once or twice a week, but turning into a "pro club" is distasteful, and I don't have the real life cash flow to hold a big club together.

Anyway, I'm about to forum post a war challenge. Happy playing and let's try to keep things from turning into every man for himself.

  6. I find being kicked as an insult, so I do not bother go to " pro party " clubs
