  2. Chapter 12- Secrets

Forest and I were searching the mountains for a month.

"When are we going to find it?" Forest asked me one day. He was probably starving just like me. We hardly ate, and when we did, it was very small portions and our stomachs never reacted well.

"I don't know, just keep searching," I said. We had to find it, no matter how long it took. This could be the answer to everything. We climbed one mountain, then climb down. We tried to stick to the road, but most of the time, we had to climb up. It was super steep.

  3. That was accidentally posted early anyways... The next one is still part of that chapter

  4. "Ellysa!" Forest yelled one day, "I found it! I've found it!" I ran over to were Forest was standing. In front of him, there was a large steel door.

"Oh my god, you have!" I shrieked. I hugged him really tight and kissed him for a long time.

    "Is it locked?" He asked.

"I don't know, we could check," I said taking a step toward to door.

"Let me do it," he said running to the door and wrenching it open.

"Thanks," I said as we rushed in. Inside there was a very large steel shelf containing thousands of files, a desk, and a large table with mismatched chairs.

"This is all just files for the hyena invasion?" Forest asked, taking a file off a shelf and blowing the dust off it.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure," I replied. I was smiling ear-to-ear. This is what I have been waiting for. I ran to the section of files titled "M-N". I quickly found a file titled "Numbers". Inside, it read.

Now, the government uses numbers for IDs. That is not all they're used for, once the Hyenods are let loose, they will attack every recorded human and turn the human into a Hyenod. The number that human was given will remain on their skin once they are transformed. The numbers will help keep track of who is who since all of the Hyenods look the same inside and out. Look up "government" to learn more about their reasons, or look up "Hyenod" for information on the species.- Dr. Hill, January 12th, 2234

"So, the government knew?" Forest asked, who was reading the file from over my shoulder.

"From the looks of it, the government was the ones who did it," I responded.

  9. Chapter 13- Hyenod

As soon as I was done reading, I sped over to the Hs.

"Hyenod...Hyenod..." I murmured as I looked through the G files, " Government!" I found the file I was looking for. I opened it up and read.

"Hyenods..." I didnt bother to read on because I saw the word "exceptions" at the bottom.

"Forest, look up exceptions!" I yelled across the room at Forest.

"Got it!" He yelled as he ran over to the Es.

    I kept on reading.

The government came up with the idea of Hyenods. The idea is that the Hyenods will be set loose on a certain day, and turn all of the Hyenods. Hyenods are vicious toward humans, but are very loyal toward others of their kind. This is supposed to stop war and conflict. The Hyenod will return to it's human state after it has learned true qualities such as bravery, loyalty and team work. The estimated time in which the Hyenods will turn back will be about five years. The human will remember everything that happened in their Hyenod state, and will remain with the qualities they learned. For more information, look up "Exceptions", or "Government", -Dr. Hill, February 3rd, 2234

"Forest! Have you found anything?" I yelled when I was done reading.

"Yeah..." Forest said as he walked over to me," We are the exceptions."

  10. Wow awesome!!!

  11. Chapter 14- exceptions

"What do you mean we are the exceptions?" I asked. This was important, I could tell.

"You know how we are the same number, right?" Forest asked.

"Yeah," I replied, I haven't given it much thought after the day I asked him about his number.

"Well, the government made a mix up, and according to the government, we are a girl named 'Angela Diner.' She is the recorded number two. We aren't recorded, so the dogs didn't track and chase us," Forest explained.

"But, what about Emma?" I asked.

"Emma was also an exception," Forest said, "Her number belonged to a man named 'Bob Fischer'. Us three were the only exceptions."

"So, according to the government, we don't exist?" I asked.

    "Exactly," Forest replied.
