Rory: Giggles. "I learned how to a few years back. Being a reporter is important, and so are the facial expressions."
Rory: Nods. "I know how you feel. Sorta. My mom walked out on us before my first Thanksgiving. Haven't seen her since. I know how it feels to not have a parent, but it happened when I couldn't even remember her, so it was like she never existed." (And that is true.)
Rory: "Well, that's fun. I am a reporter. Writer. Whatever you want to call it. I have a column in the newspaper, so that makes me an official something." Shrugs, a grin on her face.
Rory: Shrugs. "It can be. But my column is all boring stuff, so no one reads it. I'd really like to do a little more with music, but I don't know. I like writing, like fiction not the boring crap in the newspaper, but I like music too. So, you know, I have two paths."
Rory: "Well, I have stage fright. So singing isn't the best thing for me or I'll pass out. And DJing is cool, but I don't feel the pull to it. I'd like to teach it, though. Music and English, that is."
Jace: okay, cause Cass, my cousin who was performing tonight, is coming out with an album this summer
