Writing: Note: Hey guys! Sorry I didn't update yesterday! I've been so busy lately! By the way, don't just bump it, give me feedback! If you like my story, why? Is there anything you woul like me to improve on? IN THE PRESENT Karen's Point Of View ><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>< Darkness swallowed all. Nothing could be seen. A spot-light shone towards a man on a chair, bloody with wounds. Red fluid oozed out of the slashes all over his body. His jaguar-like green eyes flickered towards my direction. Heavy breaths echoed throughout the empty space. "Karen," he said, strengthless, helpless. I took one step towards him and the man opened his mouth to say, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FREAK!" Greedily, I took a long gulp of air as if I had been holding my breath underwater. "Shit, Lindsay! You almost killed me there!" I scolded. Birthdays had never made sense to me. Why would you celebrate being born in this horrid world full of evil, hate, and lies? "D'you have a nightmare?" She asked with her soft eyes. "The dream you have on the night before your birthday always means something, you know." Lindsay teased. It was true-at least for us gods it was. "Me and the girls are taking you out tonight!" She exclaimed. "I can't tell you where though." Lindsay added as she strolled out of my room, obviously overly joyed. Lindsay was the type of girl that couldn't handle excitement too well. Pranks and surprises were not her forte because she could not hide her happiness attacks-or that's how I interpretted her. Days like today weren't a big concern to me, but every year, she never failed to throw a party as spectacular as this world ever got. Tonight was not an exception. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Giggle rung in my ears. The bandana over my eyes didn't do the job, but nevertheless I pretended to fumble to give an illusion of blindness. The slight whisper of club music started to approach. Women's wooting voices became louder and louder with each step. Because we were in a dark hallway, there was nothing to see anyways. Finally, the hands on my shoulders prevented me from moving any further. The fabric that had failed to restrain my sight slipped off of my eyes. Darkness still surrounded all of us as the sound of music pounded through my ears. A thin slip of purple light widened into an opening into what seemed to be a club. One foot after another, I entered a club. Women were sitting at tables wooting at the muscular men on the stage who were taking their clothes off. I slowly took all this newly learned information in as I realized my big surprise was a strip club. "LINDSAY! ARE YOU CRAZY! YOU KNOW I HATE THIS STUFF!" I yelled, trying to make my voice audible over the music and shouting. "YOU'LL LOVE IT! DON'T WORRY!" She screamed into my ear. With a groan, I followed her and the girls to a table. Champagne and wine arrived at our table promptly. From the looks of the furniture, bar, and the women, this strip club was high class. Suddenly, the lights shut off. "Ladies and... Well, ladies," the MC bellowed. "The moment you've ALL been waiting for; and look! Justin's just in time to put out your burning fires!" The MC tried to make a pun out of the upcoming male strippers name, just like he did for all the others. A spotlight shot towards a muscular tan man wearing a firefighter's costume. I couldn't help but feel like I had seen him somewhere. The stripper walked down the catwalk to stand right it front of me. He looked straight down at me with his jungle-like green eyes. Ubruptly, I remembered where I had seen him. He was the man in my dream.
ATTENTION: Rules on this thread- -If you read, you post -Check out my two other stories: Mistakes and Father Dearest Thanks, GoddessOfTheWaters IN THE PRESENT Karen's Point Of View Dreams. What are they? Some like to call them signs of an upcoming event. Some say that they tell truths that even you yourself deny. Some even say that they are memories from past lives. Never the less, most of society accepts them as just dreams. But truly, what are they? Humans are intelligent, but not intelligent enough. They were so close to finally grasping dreams' actual purpose, but the ignorant ones blocked their way. ~~~~<><><>~~~<><><>~~~~ Throughout the day, I had been hoping that for just one year, I wouldn't have to deal with the chaotic events of a birthday, but I guess that was too much to ask for. His eyes flickered down in my direction. "Justin" was the man from my dream. Relief surged through me when he only had his shimmery briefs on. This meant his show was almost over. I took the whole margarita down in one gulp. Tonight was going to be a long night. Finally, the black lights came back on as "Justin" left the stage as wild women threw their bras and thongs at him without taking any other item of clothing off. That was talent. The usual dance music came on once more. Assuming that was the end of the series of events for the night, I begged Lindsay, Diana, Jeana, and Sophia to leave, but they refused to let me turn in so quickly on my birthday. No matter how hard I tried to leave the club, something or someone would stop me. Coincedences didn't happen to gods. Something was going to happen and from the looks of the dream, it was going to be bad. All of the four hours we spent at the place, I couldn't help but glance at the stage every time a new male stripper came out just in case it was "Justin" again. I was seemlessly careful about not getting drunk so that I was in control with what was happening around me. To my great happiness, the girls were to drunk to function and I could finally bring them home. I found my way through the maze of a hallway to find that it was pouring outside from looking through the tinted glass door. "You know, Karen? Chickens." Diana stated. I couldn't help but burst out laughing. "Wow. Karen, you're such a bitch! Diana's right! CHICKENS!" Lindsay echoed. "Guys! PEE AND POO! PEE AND POO!" Sophia sang, dancing like an oompa loompa. Was this how I looked when I was drunk? I threw my head back and laughed so hard, it wouldn't sound as they continued their oh-so-intelligent conversation. "You okay there?" A sexy voice asked from behind. "Shit." I whispered. I knew it was "Justin" even before I turned around. I took a glance at the glass door to see that there was not trace of rain at all. I should have known better than to let rain stop me. Turning around on my heel, I slapped on a tight smile to find myself gasping. His eyes... were glowing! My eyes met with smooth pinkish brown lips, a perfectly shaped nose, a pure complexion, tousled dirty blonde hair, and high cheek bones. His face was absolutely flawless. "You gonna keep on drooling, or do you wanna get a drink? Or, you know, I could just leave..." He broke my trance. "NO!" I said so quickly, I didn't even have time to stop myself. He let out a sweet chuckles and approached me. "Let's go get these girls a cab." He recommended.
