This is what is going on right now. It's based after Silent Hill: the Movie. I am about to finish the apron/dress thing that he wears in Silent Hill 2. My guide is almost finished, and I will post it soon  please look forward to it. I'm getting ridiculously light-headed from the paint fumes

  6. Pyramid Head/The Bogeyman:
(My version is the headpiece and weapon from the movie, and the costume from Silent Hill 2...)

    Materials:
    Protractor
    Tape measure
    Blade
    Glue gun
    Spackle or Foaming sealant
    Black netting
Spray paint (black and gray, optional copper)
    Large bolts (anything circular)
    Helmet
    Pool cue or dowel rods
Cardboard (lots of it, at least 1sq meter each)
White or beige canvas (3 yards or more depending on your size)
    Copious amounts of fake blood
Black rubber wading boots or combat boots
White rubber surgical gloves or similar
    Medical tape or gauze
    Sharpie
Pipe (1 and 2 foot sections)
    Sandpaper
    Heavy duty black thread
    Denim or leather sewing needle
    Coffee or soy sauce

    Time to complete: 3-4 days

    Process:
First, assemble your sheets of cardboard, blade, glue gun with glue, measuring tape, sharpie and protractor onto a flat surface. We will be working on the headpiece first as it is the most time consuming, and requires multiple steps. I am using a guide from YouTube done by a guy named Dax79. Please search his Pyramid Head video tutorial and work from that.
I skipped ahead a little in the process because, you can follow the video and get the same results as I did. I tweaked mine a little because firstly, I'm a girl and secondly, much smaller than him. Be prepared to work a long time on measuring and drawing with the sharpie. It's very important to make straight lines and straight cuts. The glue gun does come into play a lot here so expect to buy a lot of extra glue.
I tweaked mine a bit. I decided to go for more angular cuts, as Pyramid Head isn't a soft character. You also may choose to put on more layers than Dax does, as replicating steel with cardboard requires a certain thickness. Make sure to be very careful with your measurements if you're tweaking them. Even scaling it down a little throws off the angles drastically. Make sure you have a lot of excess cardboard if you're putting on extra layers, and save some cardboard for the great knife also. I went through about 8 warehouse boxes making this costume, each of them well over 1sq meter.

Now as he says in the video, the helmet is one of the trickiest parts of making this costume work. First, you need to find a helmet that will stay on your head and not move around. The whole thing is front heavy, which can pull the helmet over your eyes. Secondly, this is very tricky to do by yourself. Get someone to help you out. First, you need to make those marks like he did by wearing the helmet, angling the triangles onto the helmet, and still making it sit above your shoulders. Make sure that everything is positioned perfectly before you start gluing. As you can't see ahead from inside, have your friend tell you if it looks okay while you are wearing it. Glue the pieces one at a time.
Any small imperfections or gaps are going to be filled with the sealant. I used a fast acting sealant unlike Dax did, so instead of 24 hours it was 30 minutes. Do not use waterproof or latex based sealant, as it won't accept paint very well. I used a fine grain sanding block, so it would look as smooth as possible when finished. Also, be prepared to have a very ventilated spot for your painting. Use a mixture of black and gray, and throw a little "rust" color in there with brown or red colors. You may choose to use a small paint brush if you're talented at that sort of thing.

Okay. Now add your finishing touches. This is when the netting, the "bolts" and the "pipes" will be added. Whatever you've managed to drum up. Spray paint can lids, large sewing bobbins, spare piping, whatever you've found. I had to compromise because of the deadline in which I needed to finish the costume, so maybe you can find something better to use. As you can see for mine I was unable to finish it completely in time for my party, which ended just a few hours ago.

Now that we are finished with the helmet, we need to work on the costume.

Purchase white surgical gloves if you're going for accuracy. I used thin cotton ones because I wanted durability. It's up to you. Get strips of medical tape or gauze to wrap around your wrists. Also, purchase a correct amount of white or beige canvas or canvas-like material for your size. I went for 3 yards, as I'm not ridiculously tall or big. Buy the rubber wading boots, or use combat boots.
I chose to do the Silent Hill 2 version of Pyramid Head for the costume as it covers the chest (I'm a girl, I can't go shirtless like the movie version ). Cut out a template of your body on the canvas from the neck to a little below your knees. You will need two copies of this. Then cut the sleeves and part of the shoulders out. Sew large stitches or glue gun the pieces together in a way that allows you to slip your arms and head through.
Use coffee, soy sauce, fake blood, or whatever you'd like to stain the material. The dirtier and bloodier, the better. Using coffee and coffee grounds can add an aged feel. Soy sauce is a good thing to use to add dark stains, and fake blood can be purchased cheaply and be put to great use. Remember to do this in your bathtub or outside, as it's going to get really messy. Filling your tub with coffee to give it that dirty look is probably frowned on. 

    Let this drip dry overnight.

Pyramid Head is also iconic for his great knife. So cut out the shape of a blade in cardboard. Cut two identical pieces. I measured from the movie version that the blade came to his shoulder. Measure to your shoulder for dimensions.
Take your pool cue (you can get these from a local bar by asking for broken ones) or if in my case it's the 11th hour and your local bars won't let you,  get some dowel rods. Break off about the length of your elbow to fingertip and then a shorter piece as well. Glue these together at the ends. Place the cardboard pieces together with the pool cue in between, acting as the spine down the top length of the blade. Place the two dowel rod pieces you've glued together at the end with the long end sticking out the top. This is roughly based on the movie version of the blade.
Please feel free to improve on this. I literally did this right as guests were walking in for the party so it was very rushed. Glue the entire length together, around the dowel rods and pool cue. You can either spray paint the handle black, or wrap it in gauze or leftover canvas. Splash blood over the blade, and it's done.

Now all you have to do is put it on. I based my costume after the Silent Hill 2 Pyramid Head, so the neck was very narrow. I required assistance getting in and out of the canvas. I chose to wear leggings, and then combat boots over those. Put the gloves on, and wrap the wrists with gauze or medical tape. If you fray the edges it gives it that rugged look. This is optional.
For me, the head piece and sword made it very awkward to move around, and add to that that you only have peripheral vision. Make sure you have assistance with doors. I also had to add a counter weight to the back of the helmet to prevent it from sliding forward. If you used a tight fitting helmet this may not be an issue, but the head piece tends to be very front heavy. Remember, Pyramid Head walks in a slow, jerky manner, dragging the great knife behind him. All his movements are jerky and twitchy.
I also purchased temporary tattoos with scratches and bloody wounds. Pyramid Head's arms are covered in wounds and blood, so feel free to splash yourself with some too.
Just remember in the end to have fun and enjoy the costume. Your neck will ache later, but I guarantee that your costume will turn heads. 

I wish that I had had more time to work on this project. I love Silent Hill and I didn't do it justice here.  But please upload your own experiences if you decide to do this and let me know what else you've added and done. I'd love to see an army of Pyramid Heads invade PIMD! 

And if you were wondering, yes my party was a success 
