I'm a chocolatier! It's pretty much the best career ever. Eventually, I want to make wedding cakes. Maybe open up a small, high-end bakery. But this career has taught me that you can't rely on plans, so who knows where I'll end up!
Yeah, psych is really popular where I'm at too. Some people just go into the major cuz a lot of people think its easy, but I really like to hear what people are actually doing with their psych degree My bf for example: he's double majoring in bio and psych and is going into clinical psych. Pretty cool!
My general psych teacher is a clinical psychiatrist or something and she tells all these great stories that go on in the hospital she works at. It sounds real rewarding to help somebody who has a hard time helping there selves. Human behavior is real interesting too! Its cool knowing why people act a certain way or how emotion can change in a moments time. All interesting stuff!
No i hate my sociology class but that may have something to do with my teacher being a sexist dick. I hate it when men or woman put down woman.
I like this thread Im majoring in psychology. I want to be a drug rehad counsler n hopefully have my own facility someday. Overall i legit just wanna help make the world a better place.
Alison, this thread likes you That's so cool! Idk if I could ever do drug rehab stuff... I guess it's because I love working with children more than adults. It takes a special kinda person to work with adults haha.
Haha yeaah. Im hoping to actually focus more on teen addicts. I had serious drug issues at a young age n i know many who still do. I wanna help them before its too late
Lots of psych majors! I have my undergrad degree in Elementary Education (grades 1-6) and when I graduated was smacked in the face with the economy and the shortage of jobs So, now I'm in grad school getting my masters in Counseling psychology and hopefully when I'm finished either work with soldiers who have PTSD or in crisis counseling. Oh, and work on my doctorate oddly enough I enjoy school
My life is pretty boring at times. Pretty much all of my time goes to work, my daughter, family and school, and I wouldn't want it any other way. My profession is a Surgical Nurse/RN. I have a few degrees in multiply things, one being psychology, and many for nursing. Finishing up my masters, then after that only plans I have is to spend all the time I can with my little one.
