••••Update•••• I plop down into my seat in Brit Lit class seven minutes before the bell rings. I fix my hair with my compact mirror in my purse and straighten out my shirt. For the first day, I picked a tribal print, strapless, crop top and I paired it with high-waisted, denim shorts and black sandals. My dark brown hair is styled in a half up, half down style with small curls at the tips of my hair. I think I blend in with all the other girls. I put my mirror back into my purse and rest my head on my hand. Oh memories, why won't you go away? •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Flashback "I can't believe you didn't tell me that Nat was your cousin!" I playfully scold Oliver. "I didn't think it was that necessary! We don't look alike though, right?" he laughs. "Not at all. I got pretty jealous, you know," I pretend to pout. "I'm sorry," he pulls my chin up with his hands. Is... he going to kiss me? He looks at me a smiles and then puts my face down. Nope. We're driving to a baseball game; The Angels against the Yankees, to be exact. This is our first real date. We normally go to the beach and have lunch together, but this is actually going out and spending time together. He surprised me with the tickets yesterday night after he walked me home from the beach. He knows I love baseball. It's been about a month since we started dating and I'm a million times happier now that he's around. I think Oliver is trying to take things really slow because I'm a freshman, and he's a junior, but he still hasn't kissed me once yet. A girl's fist kiss is probably one of her biggest moments of her life. Maybe special, but it depends who it's with. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• The stadium is hot, especially since Oliver and I are baking in the sun. The sunglasses don't seem to be working, so I take them off. Doesn't make much of a difference. "I'm sorry we're in the sun," Oliver looks sad, "would you like some ice cream?" "No, it's fine! You're so sweet for getting these tickets already!" I smile. "It's no big deal," he shrugs, "my dad has plenty!" We turn our heads back to the game; it's the third inning and the Yankees are beating the Angels, 4-2. "UGH! Are you kidding me?!" I yell. Oliver laughs as I get infuriated with the current score. "And strike out! To the fourth inning with the Yankees leading 4-2," the announcer says. "You're getting into the game, I see," Oliver chuckles at me. I blush beet red, "Oh, sorry." He pulls me into a tight hug, "No, it's cute!" He lets his arm rest on my shoulder as I rest my head on his shoulder. We look at each other not knowing why the crowd was laughing and cheering. "You're on camera!" the person next to us screams! We look up and see me and Oliver on the screen with the words "Kiss Cam" written above. Oliver's eyes widen and then pulls my face close to his. This is the moment... He leans in and brushes his lips lightly with mine. I feel the tingling sensation and that spark making my body turn into jello. We both stop at the same time and look at each other, smiling. For the rest of the game, I don't pay attention or yell at the players. I replay that moment over and over again. I see Oliver check to see if I'm okay. His eyes twinkle every time he looks at me. Everything is perfect. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• I feel a small slap on my arm, "Ow!" "The bell just rang. Don't want to miss your name for attendance again," Preston smirks and sits down next to me, "geez, you daydream a lot." "It's none of your business," I mutter. The teacher walks into the room and begins calling attendance. "Alexander Adams?" "Here." "Danielle Easton?" "Present!" After many names, "Terissa Lennox?" "Here," I raise my hand. "So that's your name!" Preston whispers to me. "Yeah, so?" I glare. "It's pretty, but really long," he says thoughtfully. "Well, then don't call my name! Or better yet, don't talk to me," I snap at him still whispering. "How about this... I'll call you something shorter, a nickname I guess, and we'll still talk!" Preston smiles. "Whatever," I mutter. "Is it okay if I call you... Riza?" Preston asks. "I-," I choke on that lump in my throat. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Short . But yep! Cliffhanger sorta? I'm bad at them . The big reveal of the incident is happening soon! (Probably in a couple updates ) and then the shocker! Ahhh! I'll drive you all insane with the cliffhanger to those ?.
I'm guessing Oliver called her that. Or Oliver was murdered in front of her and the murderer called her that.
Yes Oliver did call her that . Sorry for not updating! I'll probably update latest Sunday . Tomorrow's my birthday, so I'm busy tomorrow and Saturday.
You're in this update, Danny . There aren't really any other major characters other than Riza, Preston, and Oliver . So you have a small part ?.
