Paige,Alison,Chad,and Eric were still in the car when Paige started pulling Al's hair because she wanted to talk to her alone. "Can you excuse us for a minute?"Paige said smiling innocently. "Sure."Eric said nodding her head. Paige opened the door outside.When they found a spot to talk alone,Al faked-smiled. "What?"She asked Paige fixing her hair. "Where do you think their taking us?"She finally asked carefully. "I don't know." "Yes you do." "No I don't." "Nevermind...Let's just go and see where we'll be." Paige and Al walked back to where Chad and Eric were. ______________________________ "So what did you girls talk about?"Chad asked when Paige and Al got back in the car. "Nothing." "It has to be something."Eric said. "It's really nothing.Just drive please." Eric started driving carefully.They didn't talk for a while. ______________________________ When they got to a place that was a little bit dark and had a some lights on,Paige and Al creeped out and the boys laughed. "It's okay."Chad said grabbing Paige's left hand. "There's nothing to be afraid of."Eric added doing what Chad was doing. The lights were flickering on and off and the girls hugged their dates. "We're scared."Paige said shivering.Chad and Eric laughed. "Why are you guys laughing?You know that we're really scared,right?"Al said nodding her head and looking at where the lights flickered on and off. "We'll protect you if anything happens."Eric said smiling. Chapter 2 Next Day "Did you see what their faces looked like?" Chad said Eric starting to laugh quietly.They were talking about the double date they had. "What're you guys talking about?" Taylor asked coming out of nowhere in the hallway. "It was a double date we had." Eric answered turning around to face Taylor. "With?" She said putting her hands on her hips. "With some girls." "What're their names?" "Do you need to know?" Chad asked not turning around like Eric did. "Yes I do." "Why?" "So I'll be friends with them." Taylor wrinkled her nose slowly. "Their names are Paige and Alison." "Okay.Thank you." Taylor walked away rolling her eyes and smirking.Eric turned around to Chad. "She's really up to something." "I know." They walked to class,while Paige and Al peeked out the window. "Hm...Taylor friends with us?That's stupid,like she'll be friends with us in a million years." Al said rolling her eyes and looking at Paige,who was picking flowers. "Paige,what're you doing?!" "What?" "Why're you picking flowers?!We're supposed to...to think of a plan!" "I already thought of a plan!" Paige rolled her eyes,reached out for Al's hands,and put flowers with little thorns in it. "Wow Paige!You did think of a plan!" "No,Ms.Alison.Theodore Roosevelt was the twenty-sixth president." "Oh." Al was embarrassed so everybody laughed quietly.Taylor was smirking and raising her hand. "Yes Taylor?" Ms.Conner called. "The nineteenth president was Rutherford B. Hayes?" "Yes!Do you know what B stands for?" "Birchard." "Good job Ms.Taylor!" Taylor was proud and everybody clapped. "Ugh.I can't believe she said that." Al whispered to Paige. "I know right?Like anyone would ever say that Taylor is the smartest." "Taylor is the smartest in this class!" Someone called out from the corner of the class.Paige looked at Al and her face was red.She nodded at Paige,while the bell rang. "It's go time." Al smiled,rubbing her hands.Taylor came by Paige and Al laughing. "Who thinks Theodore Roosevelt is nineteenth president?Oh,I know!This girl." She said fake-gasping and pointing at Al's head.Al got angry,but Paige calmed her down. "Here Taylor.It's something to give you for, you know,being the smartest!" She gave Taylor the flowers with little thorns on the bottome of it.She rolled her eyes and out on the flowers with thorns on her head,without even thanking Paige.
