Snow Angels By: NeonQueen Genre: Fantasy, supernatural Summary: Alec is a normal teenage boy. Or at least, he was, until he had a dream about a beautiful woman offering him a choice, and accepted. Until his dad began drifting away. A strange letter appears on his skin which he can't get off. Who is the woman? What is the letter for? Something strange is happening and Alec doesn't know what… Rating: 8.1 Thoughts: [color] I liked the description. It's very vivid, and I can picture the scenes in my head. I also like the idea. It seems pretty original so far. Advice: I would recommend varying the sentence structure. Almost all of the sentences in this story have a comma in it, which can make the story have no rhythm. By: -Oops-Mags_DidItAgain- Genre: Futuristic, fantasy Summary: Every night, Alice dreams about a person's life, from when they're born up until their death. She doesn't know why it happens. Just that she has to record the dream in a journal each morning. The world she lives in has tons of rules just like that. Their society is divided into four sections named after the elements, and everyone in each section is separate. She gets a schedule each morning and everyone goes by an ID number. Then one day, Alice begins to question things. Why their society is like that. Why she has those dreams. And nothing will be the same again… Rating: 8.03 Thoughts: The story is well-written, and it flows nicely. There's also great description in it. Advice: I would suggest not making it a typical "Evil government" and "Rebellion" story.There's already a bunch of those and it gets kind of old… I'm not saying it can't be a Rebellion story. But if it is it'd be nice if something is added to make it more original than the Hunger Games and Matched and Divergent and Birthmarked and all those stories. Ex: written poorly or not much description but the emotion makes up for it to be a 7. Stuff like that. I'm a little… obsessive, so all my numbers have to be odd (the decimal point will be) so if you have a number with a second or even third decimal place feel free to round.
