Mark: I will get the princess and ill use her as a hostage to secure banes surrender

 

Adam: -sees Colin and Lexi, becomes suspicious-

 

Colin: -sees Adam- your majesty I report that your daughter is safe

 

Adam: -nods- Good, but I'd like you to stay out of her room

 

Colin: I was doing my job sir and making sure that she was safe I had no way of knowing if someone was waiting in there for her so I had to go in to make sure it was safe and I serve as a last line of defense so it makes sense plus she told me to go into it

 

Adam: She should know better than to tell you that.

 

Colin: with all due respect your highness my job is the safety of your family first and their privacy second

 

Adam: I appreciate you viewing things that way, just try anything with her and I promise I'll make you regret it

 

Colin: sir you know well that I would never do anything to hurt her she's been my friend since we were little

 

Adam: I meant it in more ways than harm

Colin: -turns to Adam- your majesty for years I have loyally served you I grew up playing with your daughter and over the years I started to develop feelings for her and I figured now was the best time I wanted to ask your permission to marry lexi

 

Adam: Colin, for years you've been like a son to me, and would like no one other than you to marry Lexi.

 

Colin: so then I have your permission
