Honestly I see zach's point of views and everyone else's. if want to keep a tut op them or take a chance of getting hired. And honestly ask the tut first if they want a new pupil. I know several of mine have a status of do not hire from holly. Respect that. We all have opinions on the whole matter and we don't have to agree with each other. That's what makes the world go round. But key example of respect. You disagree with someone's opinion and bam you bash them. Accept their opinion and state yours and move along. Respect will be earned easier that way. It's not all about the tut market. It's also about people's mouth. Someone says one thing wrong and they get an ear full. Just like zach in beginning of this thread. He was just giving examples and then people come with attitude. Respect his opinions and kindly state yours and move along its simple. Anyways this is just my opinion
I did say I agree with you. As well as disagree. I agree with you about forums and newcomers, HOWEVER, I also disagree that it was better a year or so ago. .... An example being that a little over a year ago, before T5, I posted exclaiming how happy I was to be back on Pimd after it had gone down. I promptly was trolled. Although it was my only forum post, it turned me off posting again for months. Hindsight is 20/20, and you need to stop saying things are better in the past.... I don't think they were. Perhaps not for me at least. I do agree that people need to have respect. Especially newcomers that find forums. I didn't find forums for the first 3 months I played Pimd. In that aspect I do agree. I'm not bashing you. You know I respect you Zach. It's a difference of opinion. The reason I brought up tutors is because that is the thing that most people will disagree with you on. Using any example you won't get half of pimd to agree or disagree with you. Even I change my rules on tutor hiring from time to time... I follow the basic guidelines like I said before, but sometimes there are extenuating circumstances in which they are swayed. No hate. Love you zachypoo.
When t5 came out and the stat gap grew between players, they got more greedy with tutors, farming those smaller who dared to touch tutors with out asking, this is where my point of t5 was the point where respect dropped out the window. I don't blame t5 for this, I blame those who chose to use this new found advantage to bully those smaller. Before that point, players constantly asked before hiring. On the forum topic, there has, and always will be trolls who show no respect, however, when PIMD came out at the beginning and every one was on an even playing field, the respect in forums was greater, as all could think even headed. As players quit PIMD, the ones that where helping the community, is also a point where the respect in forums dropped. Love you to jihipoo
I agree with tutor thing, but in my opinion the bigger the player, the more egotistical they are. They think b/c they have 400 KCS stats they're better than everyone else. I've been farmed by bigger players simply for applying to their club, and I've been told that someone would talk to anyone else BUT me as long as they were bigger. THAT'S the crap that turning me off to PimD. Not the sf's, not the tutor wars, not even the drama. It's the egotistical players that think they're better than me just because they've played longer. I will not brown nose to higher player so they'll help me, cause 95% of those higher players don't gives a rats fat derrière about little players.
Brittani I agree and have seen the stuff you are talking about. But smaller stats also need to understand that the higher stat players are continuously followed all day every day asking for help. I would love to help out but I can't help each and every one that asks. There are people asking for dv constantly and it is ridiculous. Honestly why not ask for inactives to farm, do jobs and participate in parties to earn money like a lot do. It is the constant "hire me, I need money" or " I'm low on money will you volley me" that turns people away. It's not all higher stat people being rude. It is a community as a whole. I hired a guy asking to be hired with good stats only to have him turn around and say " take me to a trillion, can you dv money to me?" No one stat is to blame for any of this. But anyways like I said. Each and every one of us has our own opinion and it sometimes seems easier to blame one and not the other.
I get annoyed at people that do that. I don't ask for help, and I'm very weary of accepting it cause it usually comes with requirements or stipulations. I've had some great pupils that helped me without me asking, and I've had some pupils cuss me out b/c I wasn't upgrading fast enough for them. I will admit, some of my best pimd friends are high stats, and they've got my back when I need it, I just don't like getting farmed b/c I applied to a club I was invited to join, or being told I'm too nice for a club. I like having friends, and it wrong for ppl to assume I want or need help just b/c I want to talk to them.
I was in a war and had war don't hire tuts as my status and riccena a mod hired one of my tuts 3b out in a war.
It's not t5's fault, it's just some players need farmed and taught a lesson. Just my 10 cents, btw well wrote thread. ~mitchel
Tell people that they need to be forced to respect some bullies and see how many ppl you tick off. I will not respect someone based on only their stupid stats.
"When T5 came out they got more greedy with tutors" Zachary are you freakin high? It's the opposite. When T5 came out people were dropping and selling tuts left and right so they could buy the new T5 crew. As a result, the market increased with UP tuts. Blah blah blah whine whine whine respect whine blah respect whine whine. Does being "respected" in an online game really mean that much to you, or anyone else for that matter? If you don't like it, you don't have to play it. Some of yous really need to get a life. Respect me don't respect me.... I could care less. It's a freakin game! This ain't RL people! I'm not saying people shouldn't be respected here, but don't whine about it if you aren't. I'll never ask to hire a tut. If you were supposed to ask before hiring a tut, there'd be a "Ask to hire tut" button.
It's always nice to be respected, wether or not it's real life. You say you don't care but, in the bottom of your soul, you do care and you know it. If everyone here hate you, you'll quit. It means that you care about what people think on a game.
I love this thread. Zach is clearly the most experienced player out of all of us and obviously knows the rules better than any of us. We should all strive to be as great as him. Obviously we wouldn't be able to equal his greatness, as being the Greek deity he is.
Yay for all my inactive tuts! Remember there's always a real person behind the screen. How you treat others is up to you. No-one forces you to farm, but sometimes their attitude and dissing just makes it so so so hard not to hit the battle button.
OMG you've got "dv" in your username! Hire me, I've got super good stats, I'll keep your tc warm and active, and you have to "dv" me a trillion thanks, love you too. Matt
