Chapter 1 I chewed off a piece of a twizzler. Apparently my mission is to secure one pop star. Wouldn't this cause some sort of interdimension scandal or something? It's clearly not time for this one to die. I always wondered what the higher ups were thinking. Then I'd think about the next type of cake I wanted to try. "So this is the hotel. I think the kids would say this is pretty rad." Wait do kids in this frame even say that anymore. I looked down the block and saw a starbucks... I don't think kids say rad anymore. "One popstar coming up." I blended within the crowd entering the lobby. For a second I wondered how I could bypass security but then I was reminded I can appear invisible to them. Depending on which plane I'm in. I surveyed the area, there are a lot of guards. Maybe someone is out to kill this guy? It's not like he's the Prime Minister's son or the Chief's son or anything... Right? I slipped into the hotel room. The kid seemed to be asleep so I took advantage of the situation. I opened up a can of soda and then gazed out at the magnificent view. Such a warm day and the ocean glistened enough that it was screaming to be captured in a painting or a picture. Too bad I am not well versed in the way of landscape art. "Who the f**k are you!?" I heard a trembling voice, "How the hell are you transparent!?" I turned around and my eyes met a gun in a set of firm yet trembling hands. Reminded me of when I first held a gun. "I suggest you don't shoot." I sipped more of my soda. "First things first, your hands are trembling. You'll cause a misfire and destroy this lovely room. Your body guards will come busting in and then discover you've been shooting at nothing." I took a slight breath suppressing a burp. "Two, I'm not here to harm you. I'm here to ensure your safety." "Th-that's why I have those guards outside! S-so why are you here!?" "Hush hush, you don't want to draw any attention." "Whatcha mean shooting at nothing!?" I burped a little on accident, "Excuse me, anyways, because I'm not in the physical world as you. However I have let myself be seen by you. I don't necessarily like to guard from the shadows." "Like a guardian angel?" He ha lowered the gun slightly but kept up his stance. "Not exactly." I came back to the physical plane after setting down my drink. I immediatly hit the gun out of his hands. It landed a good distance from us. I held his arms above and behind his head thus in one swoop I ended up putting him in a suffocating hold. "I've had practice." I smirked and pushed the boy back into a lounge chair. I picked up the gun and proceeded to inspect it. After I picked up my soda of course. The bou coughed a bit, I was probably too rough on his ribs and with his head. A kid's gotta learn though. That and about guns, the gun was a very, I don't know how to explain, but I guess in a situation he thought he was in it would work. "Hey kid." "What d-do you want from me!?" He coughed a bit and now sounded a tad bewildered. "I want to give you a better gun." ~To Be Continued~
*Starbucks *had *boy Aww thanks for the bumps you guys! I'll try to put out more updates. Maybe even a full chapter at a time xD
Bump! Lost my notebook (partially due to coffee) I shall reread and organize where i was heading with this story! :3 Sorry about no updates that night, was rather hurt and then college started :3
~mini continue~ I took the gun off my holster and tossed it to the boy. "Here, a much better and more efficient, comes with it's own target beam." I say down and took out a candy stick to chew. The boy raised it and aimed the gun at my forehead. I looked up as if I was looking at my forehead, then I followed the beam straight to the boy. "What? Still don't trust me?" The boy stood there coughing, a hand holding my gun and a hand hugging his side. "You still haven't gained my trust." I sighed and sat up, the beam following right behind. The boy's hand started to shake. "Well I think you should trust that I have no intention to kill you. And if I did I would've had ample opportunity no?" "S-So? How do I know it's not one big trick!?" I sighed and put my face on my hands. "This is going to take a while, if only he were a spirit." I said quietly to myself. ~To Be Continued~
Bump to update in a bit. Headache messing up my thoughts. Can't progress with plot... Need tablet pen D: ... Lol. seriously I hate headaches
~mini continue~ "So are you going to tell me? Or not?Answer me!" I stared at him, 'unbelievable, does he not grasp the situation?' I shook my head, 'of course not he's not dead! Not yet anyways... No no he's supposed to be alive. He is alive, so yeah, why the hell am I here!?' I looked up, may as well tell him what I am. No one would believe him. "Okay well, unlike usual, my name is Jericho, and I'm not here to escort you to the afterlife. I'm here to ensure that you stay alive. To do that I need your cooperation. So come on, has someone threatened you or a rabid teenage fan girl is too much of a stalker?" He gulped and sighed. He finally put down the gun. 'Good boy, now I haven't got all day... Or do I? Hm?' "Okay, so, who hired you?" "Who hired me?" "Yeah, I know everyone that my manager and my mother hired, but of course I don't know you so who hired you?" "Someone with power." "That's it? That's all I get? I almost get a broken rib and wrist, and, and, and everything else, and that's all you have to say!? I have to perform tomorrow you know!" "Yeah yeah, and I'm sure your fans need you." "You didn't see it out there? They demand me. I love my fans and all, I'd hate to dissapoint them." "Well go on, tell me why all the needed security?" "Wait you're supposed to tell me who hired you!" "Dammit you caught on." I shook my head and gave that pursed lip half a frown look that I always thought looked funny on sarcastic people on T.V.. "Alright, I work for someone powerful and supernatural." "Hmph, next thing you'd say is that you work with a delivery boy." "No... But hey I am hungry, chinese or pizza?" I picked up the phone about to order. The boy sighed and sat down. "... Pizza." ~To Be Eaten- I mean -Continued~
~Continue~ "Yeah, two large pies, one extra cheese and the other," I put my hand to the phone and looked at the kid. "Half extra and half lasagna." "Lasagna? Alright." I finished the order and hanged up the phone. "They'll try to be here within forty-five minutes." He decided to shut his mouth. He just sat there, looking at the T.V. or looking at the window. 'Oh if only I had mind reading powers like my friend back at the office.' Then finally the pizza man showed up. Then we sat there, in silence, respectfully chewing a slice of pizza from our pies. "It'ch becauth of a bath manch." I gulped down the bite I chewed, "Hasn't your momma taught you not to talk with your mouth full?" He gulped then sighed, "It's because of a bad man. My manager got a letter one day and after he read it he was a bit, I don't know, but he acted very weirdly. He told my mom but she never told me anything more than just that. Just that a very, very, very bad man was after me." I sighed, "Great, you don't really know either. Thanks for finally telling me. " "Now it's your turn." "Not saying a word." I bit onto my slice more. "How am I supposed to trust you when you go and do that?" "Who said you had my trust in the first place?" He sank in his chair a little. No harm in telling a little white lie. "To earn trust, you must first take a leap of faith." "Yeah, but, why don't you tell me?" "Because I'd be breaking someone else's trust in me." I looked at him seriously. The boy sank down even further. "Oh, sorry then..." He continued eating his pizza. "Anyways I told you my real name. Care to tell me yours?" He nodded and smiled a little, "It's Benedire Palazzo, but people know me better as Felix Estrello." ~To Be Continued~
(Made a typo that I just noticed, Ben's stage name is Feliz not Felix) ~~ I shuffled a deck I had kept in my pocket. 'How did I end up here?' I was glad I can hear all the different genres of music in this day and age but, IT'S SO DAMN LOUD. I can barely think in peace! So yeah if you haven't guessed it yet, I'm backstage at Feliz's conecert. Well more on stage left where I can keep my eye on him. That's if all the special effects and back up dancers and band members didn't get in the way. 'You'd know what would be funny 'bout now? Getting mistaken for a back up dancer... Well unless one of his songs involves sloppily suited dancers. Speaking of which I should fix my tie.' I went to look for a mirror and fixed myself up before heading back to my post. Oh yeah, the fans, the screaming fans. You'd think the girls are worse. This stadium even feels like it's holding the whole, oh crap I forgot where the hell I am... Well primarily English speaking, with an international star. I can tell that half his songs are in Italian or a mix of both languages. So I could either be in a heavily english speaking foreign place, or in America. Maybe Australia or England but I never bothered listening to others at times. "And when I look into your eyes, I just can't wait to come back home. Ohhhh-" Oh great the, finger quotes, must have love song I am guessing. Change of pace from earlier. Had the pop entrance, the jazz beginning, the rocking middle and now a slow dance-ish kind of song. I decided to deck out of sight for a little. There couldn't be anything bad happening at this moment. I headed out to a secluded area. I took my phone and called the office. "Come on come on... Pick up the damn phone... Someone, anyone..." I said a bit frustrated to myself. "Hello Jericho." "Chief? Chief!!" I was surprised that he picked up. "What do you want Jer? It's been pretty hectic over here." "I just needed more info about my case. So far I still don't know why the hell I'm here. Am I really supposed to bring this kid in or, or what? No one even gave me the actual file just his stupid profile." "Well Jer, that's your call." "Oi Chief, throw this dog a bone, or a cake, can you just have someone send me the actual case file?" "Why don't you get it youself?" "Well because I'm already here practically babysitting him- wait, are you okay sir?" I didn't trust how he just said that. He should know why I can't come back. They mostly never allow me back until the mission is completed or something urgent has come up. The chief was more on the ball with things. "Yeah yeah, continue your work Jericho. I'll have the file sent to you right away." "Thanks si-" He hung up. There must be something going on. I tried thinking about it on my way back to my post but as I got there the noise kept clouding my thoughts. Then all of a sudden the lights went out. ~To Be Continued~
How rude just hanging up like that and the lights good thing I'm not there I'd be doing enough screaming for 20 girls
Lol okay I was messing around. Yes the lights. Darkness is key though. Even though in that huge place you'd need a cat to be able to see.
