Cora's Pov Everyone that came along with us had came inside to say goodbye to me. My mother was crying again. She didn't want me to go back to the Human World. She was afraid that I'd never come back, or that I'd turn into a vampire. I told her not to worry. I knew that I had to get the blood for sure. I knew there was no time to waste. Everyone was surrounding me, but there was a huge gap between all of us. Lady Ikydis said that they'd better keep their space from me unless they wanted to get fried from the transporter. Everyone sat down on the floor and tables, talking among theirselves. I wanted to speak to everyone for one last time, but I knew they were all too busy trying to make plans. Plans like how to kill me if I remained a vampire, or how to make my mother stop crying. I looked at everyone. I was afraid, I really was. For the first time, I was scared. No wait, actually, Jayden was the first one that I was afraid of, but still. "It's funny how you keep on mentioning him, dear." Lady Ikydis said lowly to me as she brought the vampire potion over. I looked at her. "What?" I asked. "I said, it's funny that he keeps on popping into your head, no matter what you are thinking of." "What do you mean? I-I'm not thinking about him.. I don't even know who you're talking about." She looked at me, not convinced. "Don't act like you don't know what I am talking about, Cora." I turned away with defeat. Oh crap, I forgot she could read other people's minds.... Lady Ikydis put the potion in my hands and called for everyone's attention. Since everyone thought she was scary, they shut up right away. I mean, I would've too if I were them. "Now, as you all know, we will have to wait 2 whole days for Cora's return." she reminded everyone. "For those 2 days, I will need all the help you guys can give to me. I will start on the potion as soon as cora is transported." Lady Ikydis turned to me. She put the potion in my hand and made sure I gripped on it tightly. "Once you drink the potion, you'll turn into a vampire. You will also be transported automatically to the Human World. You will lose some of your senses, which is naural for vampires. But, you must try your best to keep those senses, for you will need them. Understand?" She held my hand and looked at me as I nodded. "Here's how it works. Once you bite that human, you will feel your blood rising up through your throat. That blood will be transferred into the human. Then the human's blood that you sucked out of the bite will replace yours. So, you'll be exchanging blood. Once the human's blood enters your mouth, you will have a little vile that I am going to give to you." She paused slightly for a breath. " Put the blood in the vile as soon as you can. You can drink it and throw it up into the vile, but that is not the best way to do it because blood will not stay long in a vampire's body. You will crave for more if you do that, which will lead to a disaster. You must put the blood into the vile immediately. If you don't do it in time, you will feel and whatever that human feels. You feel all their urges, their needs, their thoughts. And you'll remain that way until the two days are over, you understand?" "So, basically, I'm throwing up my blood to exchange with human blood?" I asked, disgusted. "What if that person tells the authority? How will I be able to get away?" "When you bite that person, the person will automatically fall asleep. The next morning, he or she will not remember anything. They'll just be left with a bruise or a mark." she clarified. I looked at her, then at everyone else. I was still scared. If I didn't find the blood in time, I'd die as a vampire. If I threw up my blood, I'd probably end up throwing up more than expected.. If I don't ever come back, I'll remain a vampire in the human world, which will lead to humans ganging up on me to try and stop me... Why was everything so complicated?? "Here you go," Lady Ikydis opened the top for me, "you must drink it all." She gave me a small vile and walked away. I knew why, she didn't want to get burnt by the transporter either. I lifted the bottle of vampire potion up to my mouth. As I began drinking, I noticed how cold the potion was... When I was almost done with the bottle, I was wondering how you could get burnt by the transporter, until... I felt different. It felt as if my body was... transforming..? My hands grew abit longer, my nails grew extra longer, my teeth became sharp, my eyes turned pupils turned light yellow and green, and my back grew wings. Before I could complain about my good looks going away, fire appeared from the ground under me. I didn't feel a burn, but I guess that's why Lady Ikydis told everyone to back up. The fire roard higher, and it was already as high as the ceiling. I looked at everyone one last time. BOOM! I was nolonger in hell... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I opened my eyes. Whew, thank god it was night time. I looked around. I knew nothing. This place didn't even look anything close to the places that Jayden took me... But I did happen to see a closed shop on the corner. I ran over to it and looked at my reflection. I didn't look that different, but I wished so bad that the wings and everything would just disappear for now. And they did...? All I did was wish it in my head, and they were gone... That was scary... I wished for them back, and they did. Whoa..! What happens if I wish for a fireball? Or better, flying skills? I was just about to wish for everything I ever wanted, but I remembered what I came back to the Human World for, so I ran down the street. As I ran, I wished for every ugly feature that came with the potion to go away. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Geez... It's been about 6 hours already... I still haven't found the person with the right blood. Well, actually, I still couldn't smell the person. And I was getting hungry. Everytime I passed a human, I felt like I wanted to eat them. And I could smell the fear in them as I got close to them. Maybe it was because I was wearing my usual clothes again: cloak and a strapless gown... Being a vampire was kind of cool, yet pointless. I couldn't take it anymore. I grabbed the next human that passed me. He screamed as he saw my teeth, which grew so I could bite him. But before I could bite him, I suddenly smelled something I wanted... I looked both ways. The smell grew stronger as I looked to the left side, so I plunged into the air, not wanting to walk. As I flew higher, I heard the male scream with fear below me. I ignored his screams, wanting to find where that tasty smell was coming from. I turned many corners, flew longer than I thought, and hit many branches. I got a few scratches, but I managed to ignore them too. When the smell was finally at the strongest point, I landed on the ground. I took in my wings and teeth. I was on a dark road that only had one light post. I stood under it, waiting for that smell to get even stronger. And it did. It smelled so tasty, so good... I just wanted to get it... The smell grew stronger. I didn't know why. Was it coming towards me or something? I turned to my right and saw a figure dragging theirselves on their feet. That person looked kind of drunk... As the person came closer into the light, the smell grew stronger. I was about to plunge onto the person until that person was exposed in the light. "Cora..?" The person was Jayden. No.... Was the blood his..??? I stepped closer to Jayden, just to make sure... And sure enough, when I held him to bring us closer, the smell grew unbareable... I was urging to bite him. I was urging to take his blood... I could feel my teeth growing sharp again, and I knew that my eyes were turning into that light yellowish green color again.. I was about to lose control, until his arms wrapped around my body.
Cora's Pov Jayden pulled me into his house, after dragging me with him for about 20 minutes, and shut the door. The lights were off, but there was a light coming from his room. But thank god for the living room lights being off. He would've seen my ugly vampire side. With a lot of effort, I forced my urge to go away, making my vampire qualities return back to my human qualities. When that was finished, which only took seconds, Jayden suddenly wrapped his arms around me. He didn't say anything. Instead, he began kissing my neck, which sent trembles throughout my whole body. I wanted to stop, I wanted to stop him, but my body was telling me to let him continue. I closed my eyes and let him continue. I didn't know why I was letting him. I didn't even know why I wasn't biting him yet... Jayden turned me around. I felt his breath on my neck as he began kissing my neck from the front. All I could do was wrap my arms around his neck and close my eyes with pleasure. He travelled down to my collar bone, sucking on it. What's happening? Why am I not stopping him? He continued sucking on my collar bone. His hands moved from my back to the tie that held the cape together. He untied it, still kissing my collar bone, and threw it across the room. Jayden suddenly backed away from me and turned on the light. Thank goodness my vampire qualities were gone.. He walked to me and stood only a few inches away. "You don't know how much I've been wanting you," he said as he kissed me on my lips softly. He wrapped his arms around my body, and oddly, I wrapped my arms around his neck again. His soft kiss became hard and deep. I felt his tongue travel inside my mouth, exploring it as if he owned it. "N-No..." I moaned softly when my mouth was finally freed from his. "Don't deny me.." he moaned back as he kissed my neck in various places. I opened my eyes and looked around as he continue teasing my neck. The air felt so thick... It was getting so hot.. It became hard to breathe. I felt myself crave for Jayden. It wasn't a crave for his blood. It was a crave simply for him. He picked me up and took me to his room, where he layed me on the bed. He got on top of me and looked at me. His gaze went up and down on me, and he suddenly bit his lips. "You look so sexy in red." he whispered into my ear. After that, he softly kissed my ear. He returned to his regular position and looked at me again. He stroked my hair and kissed my cheek. He lifted me up a little to wrap his arms around me. All I could do was lay there and let him do whatever he wanted to do. But this is what I wanted... This is what I wanted to do... For some reason, I only wanted this. I didn't want to go back to hell. I didn't care if I stayed a vampire. As long as I was with Jayden... Suddenly... "You will lose some of your senses, which is natural for vampires. But, you must try your best to keep those senses, for you will need them." Lady Ikydis' words came into my head... I groaned and pushed Jayden away from me. I got off of him and got off the bed. I was so close to the door when he suddenly grabbed me from behind and held me there. I was about to begin squirming, but I felt a drop of tear on my neck. Was he crying..? I stood there... Wanting him to say something, wanting him to at least explain to me if he was really waiting for me. "Don't." was all he said. Even though he only said one word, my heart sank. That one word of asking me to not go touched my heart. I didn't want to go anymore, but I knew that I had to... I tried to get out of his arms, but he held me tighter and pulled me deeper into him. "Don't. Please, don't go where I can't follow..." he begged softly. My visions became watery, and the tears streamed down my cheeks. Those words immediately touched me... "I don't know what you are, Cora," he began, and I don't care about it either... Just please, stay with me. I don't want to lose you again..." All I could do was stand there and let my tears flow. I didn't want to push him away. I didn't want to go either... But I knew I couldn't just stand here and let the minutes pass... "I don't care if you're not human... I don't care if you're a witch. I don't care if you're a ghost..." he said. "I promise you I'll get used to it... Whatever you are, I promise I'll get used to it. I'll ty to adapt to your world, I promise... Don't leave me here alone... I need you. I don't know what to do without you. Cora, I've said those words before to many girls, but this is the only time that I really mean it... To you, those words are true. I beg you, don't go." I slowly turned around. His arms stayed around me. I looked up at him, seeing his tears fall down. I wiped them away and leaned into him, slowly holding him. When my arms were fully around his neck, he let out a sigh of relief and held me tightly. "I'm sorry," I said to him. "I'm really sorry..." It was the second time I had to do this, and it stabbed my heart like a knife. But it was the only way... I slowly opened my mouth. I felt my teeth growing, and I felt my eyes changing. The sound of Jayden's sobs made it so hard for me to bite him... Unknowingly, I dug my teeth into his neck. I heard him let out a short groan of pain. The thing that hurt most was that his arms didn't even move an inch away from my body. He continued holding me, even when I bit him.... Why was I doing this to him..? I felt blood from my body rising up to my throat. And as I released my blood through my mouth, blood came from outside of my mouth. It was Jayden' blood. As my blood went out, his blood came in. Damn, his blood tasted good. His grip finally loosened, and he fell to the ground. I cried as I saw his body lying on the floor, helpless. I wiped the stream of blood from the side of my mouth and turned around painfully. I forced myself to not look back. I opened the door and searched around for my cloak. When I finally found it, I turned it over, searching for the pockets. While I was turning the cloak in different ways, I felt something sharp in the cloak. I found that spot, and it was the pocket.... I reached inside to see what the sharp object was, and when I pulled it out, it was the vile. To my horror, it was cracked.
