Emma's POV I slowly sat down at the dinner table, my parents both on their cell phones, talking nonstop in a professional working type tone. I was used to this, my parents were almost never home, and lately I was feeling bad that I let Quinn home alone, I had to leave Elijah's early to make dinner. I still couldn't believe Chris had proposed right there.. And I still had no idea what Nancy had pulled Elijah to the side for. When he had came back out he had been all twitchy, and muttering strange words in some other language. He wouldn't tell me what she had said, and he seemed to want me out of that apartment fast. I could still hear his urgent pushes towards the door, and the door slamming shut as I went. "Are you going to pass the carrots or what?" Quinn said snapping me out of my thoughts as he was trying to reach for the carrots beside me. I pushed it into his reach, and looked down at my food, nibbling at it a bit. I was to upset to eat much. What had she said, and why was Elijah acting so weird lately? "So Emma, how is Salrion doing?" My mother asked, her eyes on a stack of papers in front of her, her pen marking down words at a fast speed. I winced a tiny bit at that, but she didn't notice. She had no idea about anything that has happened, she wasn't around for me to talk to. "He's great.." I muttered, pushing around the mashed potatoes on my plate. "I thought he was dating that Alida girl now." Quinn said sipping down his glass of water. I threw him a glare. Suddenly my mother stopped writing and looked up at me, shocked. I was a bit shocked as well, this is the first my mother had actually looked me in the years for months. "Emma, what happened, why didn't you say something?" My mother said. Tears threatened to spill down my cheeks again, but I fought them back with some effort. "Because mom, your never around, when can I talk to you when your not busy working?!" I snapped, and stood up stomping out of the room. I couldn't stand it. Walking up the stairs to my room, I Struggled to keep my tears at bay. As I walked into my room I jumped as I saw someone laying on my bed. But I soon calmed seeing it was Elijah. He sat up, watching me with those big blue eyes, now swimming with concern. He opened his arms to me, and I quickly went to him. He hugged me to him, pulling me in his lap. His hands as gentle as feathers stroked my back in soothing circles, his lips now at my ear. "You don't have to hold it back." He said gently, and at those words I silently began to cry. He slowly rocked me, whispering sweet words to me, and brushing the tears from my eyes. "It's alright, I'm here." He whispered. "Please, never leave me." I said my voice thick from my crying. "Never." He promised. Kristine's POV "A party, why?" Miranda said raising a suspicious brow at me. "Oh just a simple get together, to celebrate you proposal." I said with a sickly sweet expression. Miranda watched me for a second, and slowly smiled. Hook, line, and sucker. I knew she couldn't say no to something that would be about her. "Alright, sure, sounds like a good idea to me." She shrugged. "Excellent, I'll be sure to call the others, how does this weekend sound to you?" I wondered. "That's perfect." Miranda smirked. Perfect. So I knew at least all of us would be there, and now for Emma's human friends.. Bump?
