it's my birthday I'm going to be honest and tell you I won't be updating today. I'm probably going to be unconscious. Lol. Thanks for the bumps. See you guys in April!
Van waved goodbye with a rather pleased look. His fur trimmed parka was a royal blue, matching his kingdom’s colors. His silky brown locks waved around his face in the slight chill. It took moments like this where he looked entirely smug that I remembered how charming he really was. I felt a murmur in my heart as I realized that I could easily fall for his allure. “Really, you don’t prefer his gloomy type over me, do you?” he said, turning to me with a wounded look. His green eyes sparkled with suppressed amusement. “N-No, I mean…” I stuttered in response, taken aback by his straightforward manner. Van laughed. “Good.” He cut me off. “Shall we?” Van said, gesturing to his silver car that was parked off to the side of the pier. Bewildered, I let myself be led along. As I was following him, I heard a shout from behind us. “Ms. Werner, wait!” I turned to see an odd sight. Prince Kirtak was hurrying down the pier, looking quite disheveled. He paused before us, his pale pink lips pushing out labored breaths as if he had been running a long distance. His expression was very startling. He looked worried. “You… You didn’t come,” he said before looking at Prince Orcello. Prince Orcello looked just as surprised as I did by the Equix prince’s state. Prince Ian straightened himself to his full height and cleared his throat. As he ran a hand through his tousled brown hair he seemed to have regained his composure. The panicked look from before now seemed unreal. As he stood in his thick cashmere cream colored sweater, I couldn’t help but notice how well he filled it out. Although he was calmer now, there was an air of nervousness about him. “Let me explain,” he said, his eyes moving between Van and I. Van smiled wryly. “You’re a very high demand woman, Ms. Werner.” Then he tilted his head to the side, lifting his chin slightly at Ian. “However, I won’t give up that easily. Let me spend some time with you today.” Ian looked surprised at the suddenly serious Van. I was a little bit overwhelmed as well. Prince Siegfried had been acting shy, Prince Ian was panicking, and now Prince Van was serious. What was going on? Before I could speak, Van stepped forward to Ian. “Prince Kirtak, understand your position. You cannot be doing this when you’re betrothed to Princess Ophelia.” The shorter prince smirked at the towering one. Prince Ian looked stunned that Van was stepping up to him. I was as well. For as long as I had known Prince Orcello, he had never been one for confrontation, especially with those in a more prestigious position than his. “Orcello,” Prince Kirtak said, his voice chilly. “Don’t say something you’ll regret.” Van stood firm, between Ian and I. “Well, let’s let her decide.” The two turned to look at me. Prince Ian looked nervous, his deep brown eyes staring straight into mine. Prince Van looked at me as well, his green eyes searching my face as if he could find my answer there. I blanched at the sudden attention. “It’s up to you,” Prince Ian said, his voice trailing off into the wind. Decision Time <Step towards Prince Ian> <Hide behind Prince Van> Voting lasts 24 hours.
