"Hey Natasha." He said my name softly, almost seductively. "umm... Hi..." I mumbled. I didn't dare look up at his face. If I did, i would probably lose all capability of speech. Me and Alex were friends, but the way he talked to me, the way he acted towards me with other people around, almost everyone who knew both of us think there is more going on. Tom has obviously never come to watch me row. Alex was cute. Wait, no. Cute doesn't seem like a strong enough word. He was sexy. Half the girls at the rowing club have liked him at one point or another, but I was the first one to go and talk to him. We became friends a few days after he had joined. That day was 4 years ago. It was before I had got to know Tom, so I was vaguely interested in Alex. But once I found out just how many other people also liked him, I decided to just befriend him. I'm glad I made that decision, because if I hadn't I would never have had Tom and I would just be chasing after someone who was out of my reach. If I looked at Alex, I would probably turn to jelly at the sight of his eyes. They were beautiful. Not as beautiful as Tom's, but still breathtaking. A deep, wonderful brown, that shines in the sunlight. Those eyes seemed to pierce right into your very soul. I have no feelings for Alex. I love Tom with all of my heart. Alex was just unbearably good looking. "So... What's up?" Oh you know. My dead boyfriend has come back to life in the form of an angel, I'm confused about my feelings for him, my friend Hannah fainted after Tom poked her with a stick because hardly anyone can see or hear him, Casey found out she has a dead big brother she never really knew while he was alive (we went on double dates with me, Tom, Casey and her boyfriend but she still hadn't known Tom very well) And I have no idea if I should tell anyone about it. Which is why I'm not going to tell you. "oh, um, not much really. How about you?" A loud crash made us turn around. Casey and Dylan were in a heap with some boats. I think Casey had tried to glomp Dylan and they fell backwards and crashed into the boats. Luckily for them nothing had been damaged, or they would be in trouble. I walked away from Alex and helped Casey up. I didn't really feel like talking to him today. Me and case-head (as I like to call her) went to help set up a quad. Me, her, poppy and Emily were rowing, and Matilda was coxing. We got out onto the water and started making cat noises to annoy Matilda. As we set off, I saw a flash of white up in a tree. Was that Tom? 3 hours later we were back, exhausted from our training. We had been practicing hard, and were so tired we almost capsized. We put the boat and blades away, and helped take the launches in. I turned around to find myself face to face with Alex. We were so close, almost touching. I was about to step back when he leant in and kissed me.
