    Emma's POV

Butterflies bounced around in my stomach as I walked down the hall way. Elijah was right behind me, his hand resting at the center of my back.
Finally when we stopped at a private spot in the back of the library I let out my breath I just realized I had been holding.
"You.. Aren't normal, that much is obvious." I said pretending to look interested in the book I randomly picked you.
"Being abnormal, is normal isn't it?" Elijah said, a touch of an emotion hanging on his tone.
"But not like you, your beyond abnormal." I said, looking at the book a bit closer.
Huh, the Fantom of the Opera, how ironic. I looked back up to his eyes as he paused.
"Now you just sound crazy." He said his jaw tight.
"I don't think I am, I think your hiding something." I said watching him closely.
Elijah made a low throaty sound at that, glaring daggers at me as he backed up.
"You just mind your own business if you know what's good for you." he said in a low cynical voice.
I swallowed watching his eyes almost seem to darken into onyx black.
"No, i don't think I will." i said raisin my chin up an fraction higher.
"Listen to me, back off, and do me a favor, stay away from me." Elijah snapped coldly and turned his back on me.
I winced feeling an intense pain at this action.
I looked down, tears stinging at the very edge of my eyes.
I didn't care what Elijah had said. He was for sure hiding something, and I was going to find out what.

    Elijah's POV

    time passed.
Days, weeks, it all seemed to brag on forever.
All of my targets were killed.. Except for one.
Why could nothing he easy for me?
Everyone else in the world could fall in love, and not have to kill the one they love.
I knew my love for killing was just a dim light compared to my love for Emma. But she must die at my hands.
What would that sap Romeo do; if he had to kill Juliet, instead of himself? If Emma died I would have no way to kill myself, I'm already dead.
I looked out of my window at the falling rain, glaring at everyone outside.
I had to kill Emma, I will kill her, no matter if it's love or not, she is dead.
"Brother, it's ok to love, just think about it, can you really hurt her?" Emmanuel voice said from behind me.
I turned my icy glare at him, letting my black wings rip from my back, I stood getting up close with intimidation.
"Mind your own business, I love no one but death." I lied smoothly.
Emmanuel chuckled now with a hint of a smirk on his lips.
"Elijah, I am the angel of love, I know when someone is in love." He said his black eyes moving from me to the other end of the apartment room; his golden spirals glowing even more gold.
I looked to the direction of his gaze to see Farah sitting, reading a book.
I smirked looking back at him.
"Then why don't you see the love you have for Farah?" I sneered.
Emmanuel snapped his eyes back at me, embarrassment clear in them.
"What are you talking about, I'm an angel, I could never hold love for a evil, malicious, demon. Not to mention Satan's daughter." Emmanuel said barely above a whisper.
"You can't pick who you fall in love with, it just happens, it sucks." I said rolling my eyes.
Emmanuel looks down now, his wings now extended, the purest white color imaginal.
"She would never love me, we come from different worlds, it just won't work." He said glancing from me to her.
"At least you don't have to kill her." I muttered glaring at him, and stabbed my knife into the wall.
"But just look Elijah, and tell me what you see." Emmanuel said touching my shoulder and turning me to look at Chris, Miranda, and Nancy.
"So, do you understand any form of Biology, this stuff is confusing." Chris said itching his head.
Nancy laughed, sitting down beside him, and pointed in the book.
"Look, see this is the atom, this us the almino acid." She said with a smile.
Chris looked at her, with this emotion hiding in his eyes as he smiled.
Miranda quickly was in front if them glaring between them, and pointing at Nancy harshly.
"We don't need a human to help with homework." Miranda said icily.
Chris and Miranda had been together such a long time, and they seemed quite happy, but since Nancy came in the picture everything was falling apart.
"Do you see what's happening?" Emmanuel said getting my attention again.
"Yeah, so what?" I snipped, a bit annoyed.
"So, there is no point in fighting love, you won't win." He said with a serious look.
    I fumed silently at this.
"Then im going to make this freedom last as long as possible, maybe you should follow your own advice." I snapped and walked away from them and out the door.
I had to get out if that building.
So much lovey-dovey crap. I haven't even talked to Emma since the day she had said she thought I was off.
It was becoming quite painful to stay away, but I knew I was doing the night then for the wrong guy. The right thing would be staying away from her, and the wrong guy, was Satan. But would doing it for the right guy change being right or wrong?
    Now I was confusing myself.
Yep, my life is total sh*t.

    

    Emma's POV

I was miserable, I was angry, and I was ready to choke the next person to ask me if I was 'ok'.
Of course I wasn't, I haven't talked to Elijah in weeks, Salrion has not yet tried to stay away from me, and I had no idea yet as to what Elijah was.
Walking down the road, just needing to clear my thoughts I looked around.
Have you ever had the feeling that someone was watching you? I just have the strangest feeling.
I was at the moment passing a large forest, but as I peered through the thick woods I saw a dim light shining in the distance.
I slowly turned towards it, and made my way through the woods.
I didn't know why I was doing this.
Wasn't it dangerous to be out in the woods alone this late at night.
But I couldn't make myself Stop.
When I was to the light it seemed much brighter.
Gingerly I hide behind a tree slowly peeking out to the light.
I held my breath in shock as I saw Elijah. He was glowing, the brightest light you could imagine, his eyes as black as the night.
In his hands was a girl I had never seen before, with curly blonde hair, and sapphire eyes.
    I silently studied them.
Elijah held tightly on her shoulders, her head tilted back and her mouth opened wide. She seemed completely frozen.
I watched as her body began to glow now, and gradually get brighter until a large bright orb of light floated it's way out of her mouth, and into Elijah.
I was now shaking as I witnessed this. Was he killing her?
Will I be next if I don't get the heck out of here.
As soon as the orb had entered Elijah, he let the girl drop, and smirked his eyes back to bright blue.
This appeared to have made him stronger. His body seemed more toned, and his skin seemed to glow healthy and rich.
When Elijah finally stopped glowing he turned his back to me, and in seconds he vanished, with only the sound of the wind.
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I practically crawled to the girl, lifting her head off the ground.
"A-are you ok?" I stuttered in fear.
She was still, all the color was washed off her face, yet her lips parted slowly.
    "Y-yes." She breathed, sounding broken.
"Who are you?" I asked frantically wiping the dirt off her face.
She turned away from me wincing, but had a cold expression on her face.
"Just leave me to die." She coughed.
"What did he do to you?" I tried again.
Her eyes now opened fully, revealing electric blue eyes, with a defensiveness.
"He was.. Feeding, it's not his fault." She said turning to look completely away from me.
"Feeding, what is he?" I asked begging her to continue.
But she kept quiet, looking up at the sky.
"Just leave, now." She hissed quietly.
"But your hurt." I said trying to pull her up right.
She let out a cry of pain, and smacked my arm with a force I didn't think she could muster.
I backed away, holding my arm.
"I. Said. Go." She said glaring up at me.
I slowly stood, and backed away, until I just walked away.
This doesn't make any sense at all. What had I just seen. Elijah feeding, on what? That girl was still alive, and very much had energy to throw a punch.
    What was Elijah Fang?

    ?'s POV

I laid there watching the girl who tried to help me leave.
    Stupid girl.
    She would have ruined everything.
When she was completely gone from sight, I felt the ground beneath me begin to rumble, and break apart.
Just like that I was falling through.
Fire bit my skin as I fell. Hands began to rub down my body as I continued down through the fire. It got hotter as I went down through each level of hell.
Elijah had sent me down to the lowest level possible.
As the pain got worse so did the touches, they rubbed personal places, then stabbed me, the shot me. All the hands were burned black to a crisp.
The torture continued until my feet touched the ground of the very bottom of hell.
My screams now were quiet at the sudden loss of pain. I remembered Elijah's words right before he took my soul, drained the life energy, and filled my soul with his demonic power, giving it back to me.
'Follow the blood and fire trail, up the stairs of agony, and there will sit the meaning of my existence from now on.
    Satan.
I followed the trail, listening to thousands of screams of pain, agony, and sadness. It was horrible, yet I found myself at home.
Climbing up the stairs, each step being a spiked my small but painful pieces of glass.
My feet were bleeding badly as I made it to a throne, light on fire. Sitting in the chair was an extremely handsome man. With the worlds blackest eyes, and blacks curls, frayed around his face. His face was perfect, as if he had been the most pure little angel. With dimples, and flushed cheeks. But as you looked closer, you could see the evil, sinister monster he was in the inside.
"Ah, Kristine Winters, I never thought the day would come to see you down here." His voice was like the sound of a chorus of a million angels.
"Elijah helped with that, master." I said bowing to him.
His smile grew, now widened into a sick and twisted look.
"Wonderful, I have plans for you my dear." Satan said, evil dancing in his eyes.
