Alex's POV I turned around slowly... And saw Marissa holding the gun, with Mary sprawled out on the ground gasping for air. "M-Marissa..." I gasped. "It was.....it was self defense, right?" she asked. "Wasn't it?" She looked down at Mary. I saw regret in her eyes. "Yes," I reassured her. "Mary had a gun." She glanced up at me, and tears started to form in her eyes. I walked over to her, giving her a hug. Then I remembered... "Jeremy!" I gasped. "He doesn't know what's going on! Let's go. I have to go back." "Okay," she said. Hospital I rushed into my hospital room and found Jeremy sitting on the hospital bed staring at all of the flowers I had gotten. "J-Jeremy," I almost cried. He turned around and shot up at the sight of me. Tears were starting to form in my eyes. He ran to me and took me in his arms. "It's okay, Alex," he said soothingly. "I'm here for you." I buried my head in his shoulders and let it all out and cried. He stroked my hair, which I loved, then he pulled away. "I know this is a little late," he smiled. "But...... Alex, will you be my girlfriend?"
Alex's POV "Alex, will you be my girlfriend?" he smiled, wrapping his arm around me. "Of course," I smiled. "That's why I came back." "From...where?" he looked confused. "I haven't told you!" I gasped i realization. "When I got hit by that bat, I woke up in this place- this beautiful, magnificent place- like nothing I'd ever seen before!" He stood up and walked over to the flowers, feeling the roses' petals. "Heaven's gates," he said, still studying the roses. "Yeah-" I said. "Wait, how do you know?" "There's no need to explain anymore, Alex," he said. "I've been there before." I know it's short but I just had to leave you hanging there
Alex's POV I stared at him in shock. "How could you have been there before?" I asked. "It-it's a long story..." he trailed off. "I've got time," I said, patting the spot next to me. He gave up and sat down. "When I was younger," he started. "I was around 10 or so. I had gotten hit by a car. I was knocked unconscious right away. The next thing I knew, I was in a bright, magnificent room, like nothing I'd ever seen." I cringed in recognition of the same room I had been in. "Then a figure walked up to me," he continued. "As it got closer, I started to recognize it more. But, just before it was close enough, I woke up." "And that's it?" I asked. "That's it," he sighed. "All I know was that it was a woman." After a moment, I spoke up. "Let's go somewhere," I smiled. "Boyfriend."
