Alex's POV We slowly put our hands up, wondering what was going on. They pushed us in the back of a cop car. Then, I realized. I had left two dead people at the jail. "Crap," I whispered under my breath. "What?" Jeremy whispered back. "Shut up!" said the policeman in the driver's seat. The one in the passenger seat chuckled. "You think that's funny?" Jeremy said angrily. "What did we do!?" The policemen just shook their heads. "Freaks," Jeremy said quietly. For the rest of the way, we drove in silence. What had happened to Marissa after I left? Marissa's POV "Jeremy!" Alex gasped. "He doesn't know what's going on! I have to go back!" "Okay," I said, and she ran out the door. I looked at the two lifeless bodies that lay before me. What am I supposed to do? If I go to the police, they won't believe me. If I hide the bodies, it makes me look worse. I stared at what used to be Mary. The police would never believe a word I tell them. They wouldn't believe... That Mary killed herself.
Mary's POV I heard sirens in the distance. What do I do!? No one will believe a word I say. My fingerprints are on the gun! Unless.... I know! Alex's POV I told him. I told Jeremy the whole story once we got to the police station. "Jeremy," I nudged him. "You haven't said anything..." He continued staring blankly at the wall in front of us. His used-to-be gorgeous blue eyes turned into watery red puffs. I could tell that he was crying. "Jeremy..." I sniffed. I couldn't lose him like this. "Alex," he hugged me. "I'm so sorry all of this is happening to you." "Everything bad is happening to me!" I cried and buried my head in his chest. "Why me? I just want it all to go away! The whole world is against me!" "The whole world isn't against you," he said, stroking my hair. "Right," I cried. "I doubt it." He hugged me tightly then lifted my chin so that I was staring into his eyes that were back to its beautiful blue. "I'm all for you," he smiled, and kissed me.
