Zach stared at me and smirked, leaning back against the old truck.

"Oh, I am." Before I could blink he was behind me pinning me to an old Ford truck. "I am much, much faster than that." He breathed into my ear before finally letting go.

I dusted off my sweatshirt and smiled. "Oh look, you got me all dirty...guess I'll have to repay the favor."

I ran at him, too fast to be seen by mortals, and flipped him onto his back punning him to the ground.

"You may be faster, but babe, I'm a lot stronger." I twisted his arm back in emphasis, smiling as I hear the satisfying snap as his arm breaks in two.

I sprung to my feet and waited for him to get up. Watching as he repositioned his arm so that it would grow back to normal. In seconds it would be whole again.

Zach looked at me, holding out his arms, smiling. "There's the girl I love, now come give me a proper hug."

I couldn't handle it anymore. Three months of separation had been torture. I walked over and hugged him tight, breathing in that sweet, musky sent that was him. After a whole we broke apart. I glanced at him wondering if he had changed, if we had changed.

Three months was a long time to be seperated from someone you loved, for a mortal anyway. But we weren't mortals so time was different. Months felt like hours, years felt like days, and centuries felt like years . But still, over the past century Zach and I had only been ambled to spend little time together.

"Ello, what you thinking bout? You got that far off gaze in your eyes and you haven't moved. What's wrong?" Zach questioned, interrupting my thoughts.

I smiled, "Nothing, just trying to think of a way to get this over with so that I can live the rest of my immortal life in peace, or something similar to peace."

Zach grinned. "You know if you let me help, it might be easier?"

"Zach, babe, love, you've been a great help I just...I can't involve you anymore than I have, it's too..."I was interrupted by a cell phone ringing.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out the sleek, black, razor cell and glanced at the number. I looked up at Zach.

    "It's her."

Zach squeezed my shoulder and nodded. I took a deep breath and answered.

"Hello Amy." I said in monotone.

I heard a short laugh on the other end before she answered.

"Oh, Angi, is that any way to greet me? After all I've done for you?"

"Done for me?!?! Done for me!! All you have done is cause me hurt and pain!" Zach's grip tightened as a took a deep breath. I couldn't afford to lose control here.

"What do you want Amy? You and I both know that you didn't just call for a friendly chat."

The line was silent for a bit until she answered, "I have something you might be interested in.....I know where your bother is."

Alarm filled me, Patrick, my darling brother...

    FLASHBACK

I sat shivering in the dark, clinging to myself. How could this happen? Daddy and Mommy can't die! That's not possible! The told me once when I was a child that we were a family of immortals. We are a powerful, immortal family. Mommy said we ha the powers of Garinia, the most powerful of all immortal magics, yet they had died.

All that's left was Patrick and I but I had not seen Patrick in a few weeks. Daddy sent him away for some reason, they said it was tradition.

May, moms best friend found be huddling in the dark.

    "Angi, Angi, Angi..."

I was brought back by Zach lightly shaking me. I clenched my fist tightly as I answered Amy.

"What are you talking about?" I said through clenched teeth.

"Oh, your brother, I know where he is. He's with me actually, we are just getting aquatinted." I heard a scream, I knew it was Patrick, and it was soon followed by the click of a disconnecting phone.
