  1. ?Solar Eclipse?

Millions of sun watchers were treated to a stunning glimpse of the first near total eclipse in 16 years. However many of us were left disappointed as thick cloud obscured our view.

I, myself was amazed by the clouds.

For anyone who doesn't know what a solar eclipse is. A solar eclipse happens with two celestial bodies, the sun and the moon. The moon's orbit of Earth, positions it directly in between us (Earth) and the sun, causing the moon to block out some of the sun's light, for a period of time.

    (Le Diagram)

As always, you must protect your eye. The Sun's UV light will damage the back of your eye. All of our eyes are precious.

A way to protect your eyes is to wear glasses made for eclipse viewing. Do not wear sunglasses as your poor eyes will be hurt. ?

The cheapest way is to make a pinhole camera. Simply, get a piece of paper and make a pin hole size, with a pin, Duh. Don't look through the hole, but look at the projection made by the hole.

We all have superstitions, and fetishes...soooo here is two superstitions I have found.

In India, some people fast because they believe food prepared during an eclipse is poisoned.

In Italy, the most vibrant flowers are said to be those planted during an eclipse.

Not only did a solar eclipse occur today but today is the spring equinox! The spring equinox is when the night and day is equal lengths, or near to.

The next solar eclipse in the UK is in 2092, which is a shame. The next solar eclipse in America is August 21, 2017.

Anyway, did you get a glimpse of the solar eclipse? What was it like? Besides the drop of temperature

    The Solar Eclipse today.

  3. Motivation

    What is motivation?

    • Internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested and committed to a job, role, job, role or subject, or to make an effort to attain a goal.
    Why be motivated?

One should always be motivated to do things. Whether it be homework, cooking, cleaning, exercising or more, one should feel motivated to do it.Your quality of life will be change dramatically when you take charge of how motivated you feel in any given moment.Family and friends will respect you more and see you in a whole new light. Also, deadline frenzies will be a thing of the past. For example:

    • 1. Earn the respect of your boss and colleagues. As a dependable and productive member of the team people will appreciate you and seek your valuable advice on important matters.
    • 2. Understand what motivates you and enjoy greater success. When you discover your unique motivation blueprint getting ahead will never be a mystery again. You can fire up your motivation engine whenever you choose to.
    • 3. Save money by getting things done on time. You will eliminate those late fees, fines and charges that procrastinators waste their hard earned money on.
    • 4. Enjoy a more harmonious home life. Imagine hearing praise and gratitude for all the little things you get done around the house. You will enjoy a satisfying feeling of accomplishment at the end of each evening.
    • 5. Feel in charge of you life. As you get more done with ease you will have order where you used to have chaos. You will know what you want and feel compelled to move ahead and get it.
    • 6. Start new projects with enthusiasm and stay motivated over time. When you can see things through to completion you will have renewed confidence in your ability to succeed.
    • 7. Stay motivated in the face of challenges and negative people. Setbacks and unsupportive colleagues or friends will make you even more determined when you know how to stay motivated.

  4. Pet Peeves/Annoyances

Here are some of my pet peeves:

    All Caps Writing

When I see this, my head just goes ahhhhhhhhh.

    Scratching Sound

This sound is death. And I know I'm not the only one who thinks so. When I hear it my ears cry and try to run far far away.

    Bad Breath

I mean... Do some people not know how to brush their teeth? Or is it really hard to do. Because everytime some people open their mouths it's just like ewww. And usually you can't say anything so you're sitting next to this person, eyes watering, nose asking for mercy, and hoping for the conversation to end.

    Slow Walking People

These people kill me. Especially when they're dragging their heels in a place where you can't go around them. I mean... I don't have all day, there's places I need to go and things I need to do. I don't want to stand here half my life. How is it even possible to be so damn slow?

    Sitting On A Wobbly Chair

What do I mean sitting on a wobbly chair? You know those chairs where one chair leg is half a centimeter shorter than the others? Yup, thought so. These chairs are just ughhh.

    Stepping In a Shoe Puddle

So you know in the winter when you take off your shoes and you're standing just in socks? And then you step back (looking for slippers?) and step into a puddle that your boot made? And then your sock is soaked in cold water for the next few hours? Yeah...

What are some of your pet peeves?

  11. The Bored Dog

There once was a bored dog

He was bored because he was sitting at home doing nothing all day.

So he decided to change this. He broke a window in his house and got out.

Once outside he saw a bird.

Another dog saw him chasing the bird and got jealous, she wanted the bird. So she started fighting the first dog to see who would get to capture the bird.

    It was a tough battle.

But finally, the bored dog won and decided to let everyone know about his victory by marking his territory.

This greatly upset the other dog, Rex, so she went to hide in her dog house.

After his adventure with the bird, and his victory, the dog decided that he wanted to go to space.

#procrastination at its best… well, maybe not best…

  12. Pointless Threads 102

    ...they're not actually pointless.

Believe it or not, everyone actually loves reading them. When I see a pointless thread, I secretly go like this:

Yes, they make me that excited. Don't they thrill you too?

I mean, what's a better way to do nothing than read nothing and pretend you're doing something important?

    Nothing!!

So then, if pointless threads are good, does that mean I should read them all? Or maybe make some?

Absolutely! Who doesn't want to fill their head with utter nonsense?

Here, are what some of the best nonsense threads consist of:

You must! Must! Must! Have a provocative title.

If the title isn't flashy, or possibly interesting, no one will read it and the whole point of making a pointless thread will vanish.

Also, a good thing to do would be to write on your thread that it's pointless. This gets people riled up. They end up jumping around, yelling "I was right! I was right!"

Don't forget to also include some content on your thread. For instance, say hi. Or bye. Or, perhaps try setting a trend and showing everyone how cool you are by shouting some musical insults.

Finally, you'll know you made a successfully pointless thread if you see people running around yelling "Alert! Alert! Pointless thread is present!"

Now you can make your very own pointless thread!! Or properly react to one .
