  4. How To Deal With Haters

One thing we all have to deal with in this game is what is known as "The Hater". This species is widely known in this college campus and are normally easy to identify. Other names for this hunter is "The Skeptic " or " The Troll".
What I am going to do here is give you various situations, and a good way to avoid a dangerous attack from "The Hater".

So, here is a beginners guide on how to handle the wild species of the "Hater"! 

    The Hater
Normally, this species travels alone. You can spot this creature easily. A lot of the time when their is conflict in a thread, it is because a "hater" got involved. Now, not every time a conflict arises is a hater involved, but when their is one, he is easily spotted.
Sometimes, a pack of "haters" arise in a certain situation. Again, the best way to avoid problems is to be calm and not take a jab at them.
The "Hater"  loves to feed on the unsuspecting. Their main food is attention and they will do whatever they can do get it!

    Situations

    Situation 1
-Victim: Hey everyone! I am new! How do I play?
-Hater: You noob! Get out of forums!

*At this point, it is best not to overreact. Being new, you may think it is best to try to show you are made of something, but experience haters know how to make you feel small. Do not threaten to farm, and do not rage! Do not even try to bash them. Best thing to do would be as followed (remember, their favorite food is attention)

-Victim: Well, I am sorry you feel that way about a new player. If you have any good advice, please share. If not, do not post again in my thread.

*When asked to leave a thread, they must obey the original poster. If not, they run the risk of being silenced. Just take a screen shot of the offense and email it to support or post it in the mod's pal group. Sometimes they find loopholes to get around that rule. Please refer to the next examples for advice in those situations.

    Situation 2
-Victim: Hey! I was wondering if you have any farms I could use!
-Hater: There are so many threads with that information! Just get out of forums! Useless thread is useless.

*While what the "hater"  said is true, he could have been nicer about it. Again, the best way to handle the situation is to stay calm and not bring any unneeded attention.

-Victim: I am sorry. I am new here and didn't know. I will look for the threads.

*You gain a lot more respect by figuring things out yourself. But, sometimes you will get people who are kind enough to help you. Make sure to thank those people!

    Situation 3
*sometimes you will receive help from people. Never take this help for granted as they usually know how to handle the situation better than you. Just let them take care of it. The following situation was taken from an actual thread, and adapted for this thread.
-Victim: Hey! What is the best combined stats for a 300 million dollar tut?
    -Hater: Just shut up!
-Helper: Dude! Shut up, "hater"! (proceeds to help)
-Hater: I would rather not, "helper". I was not talking to you!
-Helper 2: Don't listen to him, "victim"! (proceeds to help)
-Victim: Thank you very much "Helper" and "helper 2".

    Situation 4
*Ignore them can usually be the best defense against the "hater". they are trying to get you riled up. If they ask where you have gone, give them a kind and courteous response.
-Victim: Hey, what's a good way to decide to hire a tutor or not?
-Hater: By going to the home screen, holding the app, and pressing the little "x".
-Victim: I am sorry. But, that doesn't have to do with my post at all.
-Hater: I don't care! You are stupid!

*At this point, realize that you have been attacked by a "hater". This is the time to wait for help from a "Helper". If they do not come, then ignore them. If they ask where you have gone, reply with a kind post. Do not bash or try to criticize him. Here is an example of what to do.

    time elapses
-Hater: Where are you? Looks like the "victim" is crying!
-Victim: I am not crying, I just will in no way give you the satisfaction of any further attention. Now, I'll ask again: What's a good way to decide to hire a tutor or not?

*At that point, leave until the topic resumes as the "hater" may continue to post.

    What NOT to do!

    1. Do not give them the satisfaction of granting them attention. Again, they feed on it! Just act kind and be calm.
    2. Do not take a jab at them. That is the bait they are looking for. Do not reach down to their level and become a "hater" yourself. Be kind and ignore them.
    3. Do not dig yourself into a hole. I know this seems obvious, but sometimes by trying to make yourself look great, you are really just making a fool of yourself.
    4. When a pack of "haters" arrive, do not try to take them all by yourself. It is sometimes best to abandon the thread until help arrives or until the topic resumes.
    5. Do not post threads that will call on haters to come. Before posting, decide if the thread will attract them or not. If you do post the thread, quickly admit your mistake on the thread.

If the thread continues to get out of hand, wall a mod or message support and they will do what they can to end the conflict.

      Conclusion

As a beginner, sadly you are more prone to get a "hater" on the hunt for you! But, even throughout your entire PimD days, you will encounter them. Always be wise in the way you handle them!
