Guide to Helping New Players Start

Before reading my guide I'd like to people to know these exists:

    Terms of Use
    Rules of Conduct

They are important to the game, they are the rules. Please read them so your gameplay is enjoyed without having that ruined by your own actions.

    -----------------------------------------

Hi all, I've seen a lot of people struggling about how to start newer players off in PimD lately.

Even more so I had an alt volleyed to a point where it was nowhere close to do what she needed me to. She didn't know how to do it when I knew how to do this simply when I was just 10k stats... She was 100k.

As an older player who has been doing this a long time, I'd like to see new players getting help of better quality when starting out, so here we go!

    -----------------------------------------

    1. Greetings

This is the simplest part of helping a newer player. Say hi to them, welcome them to the app. Wish them a good time.
When newer players are starting out they are sometimes confused and trying to figure everything out. We want them to feel comfortable and not confused. This way they may actually enjoy the game more.

Aside from saying hi, it is important to tell them what the game is actually about. To those who do not know this is how I'd describe it to newer players:

Party in my Dorm( PimD) is a fun, interactive game where you do many different things to earn money to upgrade yourself to get stronger. Along the way you'll make many friends, that is natural.
You get to interact with different players by Battling with them which you can find using the people button, you can talk with people to pass time and enjoy company, you can hire other people and people can be hired from you so you make money, (etc, etc etc)

Give them an idea about what the game is about, the game is about competition and having fun competing with friends.

    2. Let's Volley this Bad Boy

As you are done letting them know what the game is about now it is time to volley them. To get them started off.
Warning: Ask them to not spend of the money yet and not to use the PimD bank.

We do not want newer players to mis-use their money, prompting us to have to volley them higher than need be.

Definition : Volley/volleying - To hire a tutor back and forth so either the persons hiring get money, the tutor gets money, or both.

    Important Part [/color

As you volley your tutors up, Tutors are capable of being able to reach 5088 cs at the price 267 million .

At that point tutors have enough to do the full upgrade.

"OMG... I hired way higher than 267 mil?, what can they do now?"

At around the price 800 million to 1 billion the tutor should have enough to buy a 13th room and buy a dorm mate to make them just about 5.9k cs.

(Between 1 bil and 2 bil just leave them at the above)

At around 2.2-2.5 bil, if you are crazy enough to go that far. They will be able to buy a 14th room and fill with a 16 mil dorm mate. They will be able to be 6.7k cs from this.

    Recap:

    They can reach:

    1. 5k cs at 267 mil price
    2. 5.9k cs at 800 mil-1 bil price
    3. 6.7k cs at 2.2-2.5 bil price

    3. The Aftermath( Instructions)

After each of those three typical volleys above in the previous section now comes the instruction for upgrading. It is simple:

    Instructions for 5k cs:
    1. As them how many rooms they have opened, afterwards subtract from 12... Tell them to buy that amount of rooms.
    Example:
If they have 2 rooms open, ask them to open 10.
If they have 5 rooms open, ask them to open 7 rooms.
    2. Ask them to evict any and all of their current dorm mates.
    3. Have them buy any choice of the 6 of the Tier 2 dorm mates (225,000 dorm mates).

Note: The first and only reason people have been told to have even stats (6 jocks and 6 hackers) over the past 3 years is to avoid being an easier target on the battle list.
Currently, so few people use the battle list and smaller players lose comparatively nothing to the amount they can make in money, being hit does not matter.
So PLEASE, do not give them that "6 jocks and 6 hackers" that just limits them.

    4. Ask them to upgrade them all to level 4. Afterwards they will have 5088 cs AKA 5k cs.

    Instructions For 5.9k cs

Use all of the same steps as 1-4 above for 5k cs

    5. Buy the 13th room

    6. Fill the 13th room with a Tier 3 dorm mate ( 16 mil dorm mate)
    So, any of these:

    Afterwards, BAM... 5.9k cs

    Instructions for 6.7k cs

Same steps as 1-6 above in previous parts.
    7. Buy a 14th room

    8. Same step as step 6 above, afterwards tutor will have 6.7k cs .

    WARNING:
For the tutors who may be priced above 800 mil for this they will STILL be Overpriced. But easily would be able to get out of that.

    4. Find a Club

Now that the hard parts is out of the way you simply give the tutor advice to find a good club. Clubs that are fairly active, partying clubs do well with that.
Not all clubs need to party constantly for players to do well, like my club but it is choice.
Make sure your tutor finds a friendly club where they will play the game and not make your investment not worth while.
