~Chapter 8~

My eyes landed on my name at the very bottom of the list. I looked back up and saw looking at me with a grin, I shake my head in amusement and walked back to where I was sitting. Lily came over to me with the grin still on her face. "You were the only one who knew what was going on beside that girl, uh Miranda Rodriguez I think. She knew what to do but she didn't put any guard on. Although you weren't even trying on that round were you?" She said, smiling knowingly at me. I shrugged, "Yeah I think she had some Archery training but her trainer didn't tell her about the stance and all the equipments that you required to wear." I replied. Lily sat down beside me and looked at me still smiling. "It's funny that we're best friends now but out first meeting was a disaster." She said, chuckling at the memory. I nodded. "You hated me the moment you saw me." I recalled. She laughed and nodded her head. "Yeah that was something I regretted, I thought you were a snobby brat when I first saw you, and back then you didn't wear this ridiculous hoodie. Well I better get back to them. See ya". She answered, she got up and walked away.
"Alright we'll be starting round two, those of you who made please come with us." One of the judges announced. I followed them with the rest of the kids who made it, including Brandon, Vanessa, Miranda and a few of the popular kids. We entered a room with moving targets. A sudden pain erupted in my chest, I looked at Lily as I clutched my chest. She looked at me and realization dawned on her face. "Patrick, please continue, I have to take one of them somewhere." Lily said as she helped me walked to the door. Everyone looks at us, all of them smirking at me except for Miranda who looked at me with a curiosity on her face. We walked out of the door and went to Lily's car. She helped me into the passenger's seat and got in the car as well. "Raven is your house still in the same place?" She asked me, I nodded my head, trying to calm the pain down.
After a few minutes of driving we finally got to my house. "Wow your mansion is still as big as ever, I think it got bigger the last time I've been here." She looked at me in amazement and then remembered what we were here for. "Oh right! Sorry!" She said ad helped me to the house. She set me down on one of the chairs and went to the cabinet to get some pills. She handed me them and some water, I took them and and gulped down the water. I sighed, slightly panting. "Thank you for helping me." I said. She nodded we head, worry written all over her face. "Don't scare me like that again!" She said. "Sorry, I don't bring my pills to school with me, never though I needed them during school. Never did before." I answered. "Well start bringing them!" She yelled. "Okay. Calm down." I told her. "Sorry, I'm just worried about you." She said. "It's okay, well I guess I'm not going to be in the club with you since I missed the rest of the audition." I replied. "No you'll still be in it, we already know how good you are at Archery. We need you on the team." She told me. I nodded and sighed, I closed my eyes. "Well I better sleep, see you tomorrow, since the club meeting is tomorrow." I said. "I kind of wish that Archery doesn't meet everyday before and after school and in the weekends. I mean seriously I had plans tomorrow! Tomorrow's a Saturday and we have spend all day there." She complained. I shake my head in amusement. "Go away Lazy Butt." I said. She sighed and walked towards the door. "See ya." She replied. I waved goodbye and went upstairs to my room, I sat down on the chair where my computer desk and started draw for the rest of the night.
After a long night of sketching and writing. I took a shower and got ready for Archery Club. I drove over to the school and walked to the Archery building. I came in and waited for everyone else to arrived. Lily arrived 10 minutes later and greeted me with a smile. After 30 more minutes of waiting, all the popular kids came in laughing and talking. They looked at me and glared, Vanessa glared at me with hate in her eyes. "What are you doing here?" She hissed.

~Chapter 9~

I groaned inside silently and looked back at Vanessa. "She's here for the club meeting." Lily answered for me. "But she didn't even finished the audition." Vanessa protested. "We decided to let her in anyways because she did very well on the first round of the audition." Lily replied. "That's not fair to us, the ones who actually did the whole audition!" Vanessa growled, getting angry. "Yes well, life isn't fair and we need her for our club if we want to win any competitions." Lily backfired. "We can win without her! She's not even the best one here! Why do we need her? She didn't even know how to aim, she put on things that wasn't supposed to be put on during the audition!" Vanessa yelled. "No you guys are the ones that didn't know what to do! Why do you think those things were even there in the first place? Just to look pretty? They were there for a purpose! You were supposed to used them, they were another test to find out how far you were ahead of everyone! The way she aimed was correct in fact it was the perfect way to aim!" Lily exclaimed, getting angry as well. "Fine whatever but we don't need her to win anything!" Vanessa hissed, pointing at me. They both walked away to the opposite side of the building.
The rest of the club arrived 10 minutes after the argument. Lily came up before us with a clipboard. "Okay today we start with learning the basics of Archery. We will have uniforms, and I'll announce the Captain of the club." Lily announced. She goes through some of the boxes and hold up a T-Shirt and Shorts. The T-Shirt is white but has a Purple stripe of Fire from the shoulder down, an arrow with a Dragon as the arrowhead hitting dead on the target imprinted on the front of the shirt with the words 'Dead Center' underneath it. The shorts are the same design but the Dragon is smaller and is on the right side. "This is your uniform, you have to wear this uniform when you're here in the Club and when we are in a competition. That means you can't wear anything else besides this uniform." She explained to us. She gave everyone a uniform except me. "Elly you have a different uniform." She said as she smiles. She gave me the same designed uniform but mine is has a Red stripe of Fire instead of Purple. "Now go change!"
I walked into the changing room and took off my hoodie and changed into the uniform. I walked out of the changing room and everyone looked at me, stunned. I looked around with a curios expression, wondering why everyone is looking at me like that and I remembered that I didn't have my hoodie on.

~Chapter 10~

Miranda's POV:
I looked at everyone and saw that they were looking toward the dressing room with stunned faces. I looked over at the direction they were looking at and saw Raven in her uniform, without a hoodie on. My eyes went wide as I saw her for the first time without her normal clothes on. She looks beautiful, she looks like a model. Her hair is short, but still barley touching her shoulder. She has dark brown hair with purple, red and white highlights. Her body perfectly tanned and leaned, she has an athletic body but still very feminine. She looked about 5'8 but maybe taller, her eyes looked dark purple. I looked at her with a stunned face.

Raven's POV:
I saw Miranda looking at me with wide eyes and a stunned face, her mouth slightly open. I walked back to my spot next to Lily and looked at her, she looked back at me and grinned. I shake my head in amusement. "Okay everyone, the reason that Raven has a different uniform is because it's a difference in ranking! She is the Team's captain, so try to respect her." Lily explained. "What? I'm not going to follow her orders!" Vanessa protested once she regained her composer. "Well too bad. She agreed to it." Lily told her. I looked at Lily and raises an eyebrow at her. "Was I there for the I agreement? Because I don't recalled agreeing to that." I said. "Well no, the committee and I decided that you were going to be the Captain." Lily answered. "Yeah and how is that me agreeing to it? Isn't it more like forcing me to agree to it?" I replied. "Yeah pretty much." Lily said. I rolled my eyes at her and looked away, my eyes landing on Miranda. "Raven and I will be helping you all with your stances and the basic techniques." Lily announced. "Now get a bow and arrow and get in your stance." Lily yelled. Everyone got their bows and arrows and got in their stance. We looked around and fixed their stance. I went up to Miranda and observed her stance. "Your stance is good but a bit off and so is your aim. That's why you couldn't hit the red target in the first round of the audition." I told her. "Well if you're such an expert why don't you show me how my stance is supposed to be?" She replied. I nodded my head and got up behind her. Putting my hands and arms to where hers are. "You knees should be as wide as you and in the same position as they are." I said. She changed her position to the way I told we to. I move her shooting hand up to her right eye and position it there, my hands still holding hers. "There are many ways to aim but this is the way most people aim. Put your shooting hand at eye level and look down your arrow towards the target and let go." I whispered. Our hands let go of the arrow, the arrow shot towards the target.
