I admit I didn't read this whole thread... But I've heard metal tongue rings wear down the enamel on teeth. Would that apply to lip rings as well?

I TOTALLY DON'T AGREE WITH LIP PIERCING OR ANY OTHER BODY PIERCING. What would you get from it anyway?
To answer Jst blaze, Yes rings will affect the enamel on your tooth it touches. Can also lead to receding gum lines on those teeth (pretty nasty). That being said I've had my lip done a few times since being a youngin'.
I have mine pierced twice and it doesn't hurt anything plus it's super cute! As fair as the tongue ringing was pierced for 10 years before I took it out and my teeth are perfect. You need to take care of yourself and your piercings.
