There was a moment of silence, as I strode confidently into the room. Ian was taken aback, but Ms. Hall indifferently shrugged. I placed my hands on my hips, holding back my anger. "Persephone… you were supposed to stay downstairs"- "Well? I didn't." Ms. Hall shot a look at Ian, and he sighed, looking away. She rolled her eyes, standing to her feet. "Proof, Ian. There's an abundance of it." she said. "Susan, that doesn't mean"- "What the hell are the two of you going on about?!" I snapped, immediately bringing the silence back into the room. "You, actually." Ian muttered. "Me…?" I responded quietly, and Susan nodded, walking in front of me with a thoughtful expression. "Look, lagneía." she pointed to the symbol on my neck. She spoke in Greek when she referred to the symbols. Somehow, the language that was once foreign to me, I understood perfectly. "Okni̱ría." she said, touching the mark on my wrist. "Laimargía." Susan touched my hip, and spun me around with just her index finger. I righted myself up, my equilibrium off from the sudden turn. She paced around me, pointing to my lower back, shoulder blade, and ankle, her voice raising as she continued. "Fthónos, Orgí̱, Yperi̱fáneia…" I blinked, backing away from her. What… why was she saying those things? Ian stood, protectively standing in front of me. "Susan, that is enough"- "Apli̱stía!" she paused, looking me over. "That isn't there… at least not yet." "Just stop it!" I shouted, glaring at them both. "I want an explanation! Now." "Oh, Persephone, I thought you were smart." Susan smirked, and I growled at her, instantly wiping the smug look off her face. "Ahem… it's quite simple, really. Those symbols all over your body? They each represent a sin. You've been bad lately, Persephone." "So? Everybody does wrong"- "No, no. You're a special case." I looked down at myself, and arched an eyebrow in confusion. "What's so special about me?" "Well, based on those dreams you've had, you already know what Ian and I are"- "No, I don't!" I snapped, and Susan gave Ian a look. "You told her absolutely nothing?" "I just wanted to protect her"- She groaned in irritation, and interrupted Ian, holding up her hand to silence him. "Long story short, we're sins." "And you're turning into one too." --------------------------------------------------- OH MY GOODNESS! CONFESSIONS! SHOCKING NEWS! And symbols Persephone wasn't aware of!
Pie thinks there shouldn't be chatting on this thread… And yes! An eighth sin! > all will be explained in the next update!
