I opened my eyes, bolting upright. Where the hell was I…? The room was a hazy blur, and it took me a few blinks to clear my vision. "Are you alright, sweetie?" I gasped, bunching my knees up to my chest, making the cot I was on squeak in protest. An older woman worriedly peered down at me. Her blonde hair was sprinkled with a few grey strands, and she kept it wrapped in a tight bun. "…w-who are you?!" "The school nurse…" she arched an eyebrow, turning back. "Did she hit her head?" "No… I caught her in time." Mr. Hall was leaning against the wall, with an amused look. I widened my eyes, and struggled to hold back the growing heat in my face. The nurse looked at me again, and I gathered my courage to speak. "S-sorry… I was just a little disoriented, Mrs… Mrs…" "Mrs. Webb." she finished for me. It was difficult for me to remember her name, because I'd only been in the nurses office a couple of times, and even then it was to help others. I had an "immune system of steel" as my father called it. "Well, seeing as you blacked out for an hour, I think you should go home." she mused. "An hour…?" I mumbled. Not a surprise I was out for so long. "Are any of your parents home?" "No, actually. They're both at work right now." Mr. Hall laughed quietly, shifting his weight to his other leg. "It wouldn't be a problem for me to drive her home." he said. Mrs. Webb and I looked over at him. She looked a little flustered, blushing slightly. "A-are you sure, Ian?" she asked. Mr. Hall smirked, glancing at me. "Positive." The nurse stuttered something about having to go find a file, and she went into the back room. I stood up from the cot, nervously tugging at the corner of my shirt. Mr. Hall opened the door for me, gesturing outside. I awkwardly shuffled into the hallway, and Mr. Hall walked next to me. I could sense the amusement he felt, and I pouted irritatedly, until I felt a jacket being draped over my shoulders. I blinked, looking up. Mr. Hall had shrugged off his jacket and given it to me. He arched an eyebrow at my surprised expression. "It's cold outside." "But… what about you?" I asked. "Don't worry about me." he responded, walking out of the school. A burst of freezing air met me as I followed him. If I felt this cold when I was wearing an oversized jacket, then Mr. Hall must've been fighting back frostbite. But, he looked perfectly fine walking over to his car. I was taken aback. Did nothing, including the extreme elements of weather, phase him? He opened the passenger car door, before sliding into the driver's seat. I sat in the car, quickly closing the door to shut out the cold. Mr. Hall turned on the ignition, and pulled the car out of the parking lot, and I turned on the radio. I was absolutely nervous, and didn't want to drive in silence. Once he pulled up to my house, I unbuckled my seatbelt, and quickly got out of the car. Mr. Hall amusedly looked at me as I stumbled over to my front door. I got out my keys, and struggled to fit them in the lock, my hands shook too much. Suddenly, Mr. Hall was behind me, and I froze. "Need any help?" he asked. His hand took mine, and he smoothly fit the key in the lock. A blush immediately returned to my face, and he laughed quietly. "…t-thanks…" "Of course…" I felt his lips brush against my neck, and a gust of wind shocked me out of my trance. "Sweet dreams…" A voice sounded in my head. "What?!" I gasped.
