"You know we aren't really called that, right?" I looked over at Hayden. "Yeah, I know. Just seems cooler... But you are one?" he asks. "No. I'm a Siniai. Not a seeker. I prefer the actually term." I replied. "I can't believe there's more people like me... I thought I was alone..." he said quietly. "Well, you aren't." I smiled at him. "Does anyone else know about you being, well not human?" I asked. "Logan." "Kelsay." The bell rang, and Hayden offered to walk me to class. "You really don't have to." I said. "But I want to." he replied smiling. He walked me to class, and then left for his. I heard nothing the whole hour I was in class. Another Siniai, someone just like me... I would've never guessed Hayden to be one. ~•~ His POV ~•~ "I'm a Siniai." she said softly. I ended up walking her to her class. Thinking about how we were alike this whole time. I wish I would've asked sooner. I feel like everything will be different now. What if everything goes back to how it was In the beginning? ~•~ Our Little Secret ~•~ Chapter 6 : Our Truth Is Told ~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~• ~•~ Her POV ~•~ After I knew what he was, everything changed. In a good way at least... Hayden and I became closer only within a few weeks. I felt like he was someone I could talk to. That wasn't it though, I felt like he was someone I would fall for. I told myself I wouldn't though. I didn't need that at the moment. He called me one night. "Hey!" I said answering the phone trying to find my happiness. "Hey. What's up?" he asked. He sounded nervous... "Nothing really. You?" "Oh nothing. I just wanted to call and ask you something." he said. "Ask away." "Do you wanna, um, go to the beach with me tomorrow? Like just us, no Kelsay and Logan attached?" he asked. "Like a date...?" I asked. "No! Nothing like that! Uh, just hanging out." he replied quickly. "Sure." I laughed a little. "Cool. Can I pick you up around 7:30?" "I'll be ready." I said. "Cool... Well, um, goodnight. See you tomorrow." "Night. See you then." I said hanging up. I was grinning from ear to ear. I probably never looked stupider. Why was I so happy? This wasn't a date. He just wanted to hang out. He isn't interested, so I shouldn't be either. I just didn't think about it and went to sleep, thinking about tomorrow. ~•~ His POV ~•~ I've been talking with Logan about Keely. See what he knows and what he can find out. Single, beautiful, kind, absolutely amazing. Then, something I didn't know, she's fatherless... I asked Logan about that but he didn't know himself. Kelsay told him, and she wouldn't say what happened... Me and Logan talked, and finally he looked over at me. "Dude, if you're interesting ask her out! Don't be a stalker." he burst out saying. "I-I'm not stalking! I just want to know about her a little more." I yelled defending myself. "Then ask her yourself." "Ask her myself... Alright..." I said quietly. About an hour of telling myself I could do this, I called her. "Hey..." I said. "Hey! What's up?" "Oh nothing. I wanted to ask you something... Would you like to go to the beach with me tomorrow?" I asked. "Like a date?" "No no no! Nothing like that just hanging out and stuff. Yeah..." "Sure." she replied. "Can I pick you up around 7:30?" I asked. "I'll be ready." "Alright... See you tomorrow. I bought tons of food and soda for tonight. I was so nervous. I wanted everything to be perfect. I told myself I was going to tell her how I felt. I went back over to Logan's house and put everything away. I took his cooler, my picnic blanket, and the basket from last time. "Dude, you're trying too hard." he muttered. "Well, I'm sorry I have feelings for someone now and I'm trying too hard." "Dude, calm down. Last time this happened things got kinda freaky." he said, throwing his hands up. I threw myself on the couch. "Not my fault." ~•~ Her POV ~•~ I woke up the next morning thinking it was all a dream... Then, I checked my call log. Nope. Tonight. Beach. Hayden. Wow. I rushed downstairs and ate. When I finished I drove towards Kelsay's house. I called her when I was almost there. "Hello?" she asked sleepily. "Hey. Get up." I laughed. "I'm almost at your house." "Why are you coming over here?" "Well, last night I was ask if I wanted to go to the beach by a certain someone. You're gonna help me get ready." I said. "Hayden asked you out?! Oh my God!" she was suddenly she was awake. "What time?!?" "Calm down. He's picking me up from my house at 7:30." "Well I'm up now. Hurry up and get here! We've got to get you ready for your romantic night on the beach." she squealed. "About that... He said hangout, not date." "Doesn't matter, it'll be a date by the end of the night." I hung up. "Yeah right...." I muttered. I pulled into her driveway and went inside. "I'm home!" I walked upstairs to Kelsay's room. She already had my outfit picked out. A black bikini, a black tanktop styled midriff, denim shorts, and black sandals. "Really Kelsay?" "Yep, and no makeup." "Nah crap." I said rolling my eyes. I grabbed the clothes, thanked Kelsay, and headed back home. ~•~ A Few Hours Later ~•~ I got dressed and sat down on the couch waiting for Hayden... He called. "Hey. I'm on my way." he said. "Alright I'll be waiting. Bye." "Bye." ~•~ His POV ~•~ I got ready, put all the soda in the cooler, the food in the basket, grabbed the blanket, and put it all in my car. I called Keely. "Hey. I'm on the way." I said. "Alright I'll be waiting. Bye." she replied. "Bye." I pulled into her driveway and walked up to her front door. I knocked and she opened the door. "Hey." she said softly. "Hi..." I said. She looked beautiful. More than ever. I caught myself staring for a little longer than I probably should have. "Um, so. Let's go." I smiled. I walked her over to the car, and opened her door for her. "Thanks..." she said. She seemed really nervous. More than me almost. I turned on the radio and she automatically began singing. The most beautiful voice I've ever heard. We drove towards the beach, the whole time hearing her voice. I swear she knew every song on the radio. Finally, we made it. We got out and I set everything out. We went swimming, ate, everything was wonderful. It was around 11:30. She seemed tired. "Do you wanted to go?" I asked. "Not yet." she smiled and looked at me. "I'm having too much fun." I looked at her. "Well I'm glad." At the moment our eyes met. I leaned in towards her, and I kissed her. It was only a short kiss, but it still was breathtaking. "I've been wanting to tell you, I think I'm falling for you..." I said quietly. She looked at me and smiled. "I would've never guessed." A few minutes later we got in my car and I took her back home. I walked her up to the door. "Goodnight." I smiled. "Goodnight." She grabbed my hand, and pulled me up to her. I kissed her again. This one longer. More passionate. We pulled away from each other and she smiled. "We should do this again." she says opening the door. "Anytime." I said smiling. "Goodnight Hayden..." she said closing the door softly behind her. "Goodnight..." I lingered outside her house for a few moments. I kissed her...and she kissed me back... ~•~ Her POV ~•~ We made it to the beach. We had so much fun. We talked and talked. I had began to get tired. He asked me if I wanted to go back home. "Nah. I'm having too much fun." Next thing I knew he kissed me, and I, I kissed him back. We took me home, and told me goodnight. I wanted more. I grabbed his hands and pulled him up to me. He kissed me again. It was magical. I went inside and went up to my room. 12:30? I called Kelsay. "How'd it go?!" she asked. I should've known she'd be awake. She'd wanna know all about it. "It was a totally blow." I said. "Oh my God... I'm so sorry Keely...." "I'm kidding! He kissed me! Twice!" Logan started laughing. "That's a good sign there." he said between laughter. "So, did you ask her out again? You guys an item?" "Um, I don't know. I didn't exactly ask..." "Dude. Really? You didn't ask?!" "I, uh, it just..." I struggled to find the words I was trying to say. "Doesn't matter. Call her, and see if you can come over or something. You guys gotta talk about this." "Alright alright." I said. I left Logan behind in his room, and went downstairs to call Keely. It rang for a while... I was beginning to think she wasn't going to answer, but then I heard her voice. "Hello?" "Hey." I said. "Oh. Hey Hayden. What's up?" "Nothing really, but could I come over today?" I asked. "Yeah. Sure. What time?" "Whatever's okay with you." "Um, well how about around two? My mom will be gone to work, so we won't be interrupted." she said. "Alright. I'll be there then. Bye Keely." "Bye Hayden." 'Now, how in the world do I do this?' I thought to myself. ~•~ Her POV ~•~ 11:45? I've got a few hours to get ready. I'm pretty sure I know whys he's coming over. We kissed. That's was it. No conversation about what next or anything... What if he wasn't interested? No no. He wouldn't do that to me. So, what is it...? Hours ticked away, and at 1:30 I finally decided to get up and dress myself. I put on a light blue, a inch or two above the knees, sun dress, and a pair of black sandals. I quickly put on makeup here and there, and pulled my hair back. I walked downstairs, pulled out some snacks, and a few drinks. I had no idea how long this would take. At exactly two o'clock I heard a knock on the door. I ran across the room, fixed my appearance one last time, and opened the door. "Hey." he said as he walked through the door. "Hey." I smiled at him. "We need to talk..." he said quietly. "I know..." "I'll go first." he laughed and sounded a little nervous. "About last night, I'm sorry if I was too sudden. I just felt like I needed to do that." he said. I grabbed his hand and smiled. "It's fine. Don't you think if I didn't want it to happen, that I would've stopped you?" I said He smiled. "So what about us?" he asked. "Well, I'd say we're a couple. Wouldn't you?" "I believe I would." We walked over to the couch, and I went over to put on a movie to watch. We sat so closely. My heart beat was so fast and loud. I was surprised he didn't hear it. It sounded like a time bomb just waiting to go off. Then, it did. I looked up him, and before I knew what I was doing, I kissed him. I mean really kissed him. Not some pathetic little kiss. Exactly the opposite. I kissed him like we were the only two people on the planet. Then I came back to my senses, and slowly pulled away. "I, uh..." I looked down. He placed his hand on my chin, and made me look up at him. He smiled. "You don't have to be afraid to do that anymore." he said laughing a little. "I wasn't afraid." "Whatever." he said. Then, he kissed me before I could say anything else. We ended up watching a few movies, and just having a nice time. It was 7:30 now. "You should get going so my mother doesn't have a heart attack." He smiled. "Yes ma'am." He got up and walked to the door. He kissed me on the cheek and left. ~•~ His POV ~•~ Well, I did it. We're an item. Wasn't so hard. I smiled to myself, and finally made it back inside Logan's house. He was sitting in the couch, with Kelsay, all over each other. I slammed the door to get there attention. They turned around. Kelsay smiled innocently. "How'd it go?" "Pretty good." "Sooo?" she asked. "Sooo, we're dating." I said. "Congrats dude!" Logan said. I went upstairs and crashed on Logan's bed. They'll be there for a long time. Eventually I just fell asleep. ~•~ Her POV ~•~ After he left that was all I thought about. Only a few minutes after he left my mom walked through the door. "Keely?" she asked. "Hmm?" "Just making sure you were here." she smiled. "Why so dressed up?" "I had a friend come over." I said plainly. "Alright. Well I'm tired, so I'll be going straight to bed." "Goodnight mother." She walked by the couch and kissed me on the forehead. "Goodnight sweetheart."
